Margaret “Peggy” Nichols Phillips, 81, of Upper St. Clair, Pa., and formerly of California, Pa., died Monday, December 9, 2002 She was born August 13, 1921, in Belle Vernon, Pa., daughter of William G. Nichols Sr. and Bridget Griffin Nichols.

She was the owner and operator of Nichols Flowers in California, Pa.

Her husband, Francis L. Phillips, died in 1997. Also deceased are a sister, Mary A. Kubin, two brothers, William G. Nichols Jr. and Joseph E. Nichols, and her parents.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Kathryn Lacovicz of Belle Vernon, Pa.; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

The Family will receive Friends in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, Supervisor, 323 Fourth Street, California, Pa., on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, December 13, until 9:30 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held.

A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church, California, Pa., with Rev. Fr. Mark A. Skertich as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park.
