The Mid Mon Valley Regional Planning and Zoning Commission is accepting comments on the proposed Mid Mon Valley Regional Comprehensive Plan that was prepared by the Mackin Engineering Company.
The comprehensive plan is a multi-municipal plan that includes the boroughs of Allenport, Coal Center, Dunlevy, Elco, Roscoe and Stockdale.
The 45-day review period begins, Tuesday, Dec. 17 and ends Monday, Feb. 3. Comments may be forwarded in writing no later than 4 p.m. on Feb. 3.
Individuals interested in reviewing a copy of the proposed comprehensive plan may do so at any one of the following locations: Allenport Municipal Building, located at 1850 Main St., Allenport, by appointment; Coal Center Municipal Building, located at 132 Water St., Coal Center, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday through Friday; Dunlevy Municipal Building, located at 2 Walnut St., Dunlevy, between the hours of 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays or by appointment; Elco Municipal Building, located at Route 88, Elco, by appointment; Roscoe Municipal Building, located at 500 Arthur St., Roscoe, by appointment; and at the Stockdale Municipal Building, located at 432 Locust St., Stockdale between the hours of 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Vouchers to be handed out
BROWNSVILLE – Vouchers for children’s winter coats will be handed out Monday at the Brownsville Soup Kitchen from 1-4 p.m. The soup kitchen is located in the basement of the Brownsville Borough Building at the corner of High and Second streets.
Toy orders requested through the Soup Kitchen can be picked up on Sunday, Dec. 22 at that Elks Club on Water Street at 2 p.m.
Christmas dinner will be served at the Soup Kitchen on Tuesday, Dec. 24 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
