Rudolph J. Bezock
Rudolph J. “Rudy” Bezock, age 81, of Grindstone, Pa., passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at his residence.
He was born July 24, 1921 in Brier Hill, Pa., son of Joseph Bezock and Thelma Yonak Bezock.
Rudolph was retired from American Bridge Division of United States Steel Corporation.
He had taught Burning and Welding at the Fayette Institute of Commerce and Technology Inc. on West Kerr Street in Uniontown, Pa.
He was a Veteran of the United States Navy where he was a Machinist Mate First Class who served in World War II and also the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Uniontown American Legion Post 51.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Leona “Tootsie” Van Sickle Rafferty Bezock on Saturday, February 9, 2002, a sister, Helen Bezock, a brother, Joseph “Joey” Bezock, and his parents.
Surviving are family members: Eleanor, John, Patricia, Robert, Rose, David, Mary, and Jackie; numerous Grandchildren; several Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., Legion Street, Republic, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday, December 20, from Noon until 1 p.m. Services will be held at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Roland O’Brien officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, where Military Rites and Honors will be accorded by Uniontown American Legion Post 51.
