Donald Joseph Bell
Donald Joseph Bell, 81, of 254 Clover Street, Brownsville, Pa., passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2002 at his residence. He was born in Mount Pleasant, Pa., August 28, 1921 son of the late William J. Bell and Lucy Wax Bell.
Donald was a resident of Brownsville for 56 years and was retired from the Clairton Works of United States Steel Corporation after 32 years.
He was a United States Army Veteran of World War II.
Four brothers, Lawrence, Alphonso, Perry and Walter Bell, a sister, Virginia Cole, and parents preceded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his loss and cherish his memory his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Dickinson Bell; three sons: Donald W. “Winky” Bell and his wife Therese, George A. “Joe” Bell and his wife Marilyn, and Ralph E. Bell and his wife Reece, all of Minneapolis, Minnesota; a daughter, Carlene B. Bell Aldridge and her husband, Lou, of Brownsville; a brother, Homer Bell of Norristown, Pa.; two sisters: Beatrice Bell and Mary Louise Bell both of Norristown, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; an adopted daughter, Lucille Dennis Curry; a devoted sister-in-law, Thelma Dickinson; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, December 22, at 3 p.m. in Mount Zion A.M.E. Church, Cadwallader Street, Brownsville, conducted by Rev. Carl Kemp.
