Sophia Gredel Corsetti, 88, of 52 River Avenue, Masontown, PA 15461 died Wednesday, December 18, 2002 at 9:32 p.m. in LaFayette Manor Inc., Uniontown, Pa. She was born December 7, 1914 in Grays Landing, Fayette County, Pa., daughter of Peter Gredel and Stella Piuch Gredel.

Sophia was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, Carmichaels, Pa.

She was also a Homemaker and a member of the Italian Ladies Circle, V. F. W. Ladies Auxiliary, and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary all in Masontown.

Her husband, Emilio Corsetti, who served in the United States Army at the rank of Sergeant during World War II, was a Prisoner of War. He died May 16, 1988.

Also deceased are a son, Steven Corsetti, a grandson, Mark, sisters, Kathryn LeDonne, Bessie Margheret, Minnie Bozick, Ruby D. Krosunger, and her parents.

She is survived by three sons: Michael Corsetti and his wife, Kathleen, of Florida, Emilio Corsetti Jr. and his wife, Peggie, of Indian Lake, Pa., and John R. Corsetti and his wife, Linda, of Masontown, Pa.; daughter-in-law, Shirley Corsetti of Moorefield, West Virginia; two sisters: Mary Albani of Masontown, Pa., and Ann Buonagura of Rego Park, New York; 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

The Family will receive Friends in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church and River avenues, Masontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where a Blessing Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 21, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Fr. James F. Bump officiating.

Burial will be in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa.
