Community Action Agency announces nurse’s assistant training program
Fayette County Community Action Agency’s (FCCAA) Community Training Institute 2003 schedule begins Monday, Jan. 13. Currently, the Community Training Institute offers a seven-week nurse’s assistant training program. Classes are held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The 140-hour clock time is divided among theory, laboratory and clinical training.
Through the classroom instruction, which provides the participant with the foundation of the field, laboratory instruction and theory, which provides hands-on training and the clinical instruction and internships at Mount Macrina Manor, which gives the participant experience in an actual long-term care facility, the participant will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in this field.
Experienced instructors provide the participants with the real world training they will need in the day-to-day duties once they gain employment. To register for the Jan. 13 session of the nurse’s assistant training program or for more information, contact Cynthia Dias, admissions representative, at 724-437-6050, ext. 212.
