A Fayette City man was arrested Sunday for allegedly sexually assaulting a 5-year-old girl while he cared for her over a few hours. Donald W. Walker, 20, of Main Street was charged with aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault and corruption of minors. He was caring for the child at his home when the alleged assault occurred. Walker was arraigned before District Justice Jesse J. Cramer and placed in Fayette County Prison in lieu of $30,000 straight cash bond.

Barbara L. Hollenbaugh, 29, of Connellsville told state police her vehicle was hit by a small brown truck while driving west on Dunbar Road on Dec. 10. Hollenbaugh’s Ford Aerostar van was hit in the rear by the unknown driver, said police, and she was uninjured in the 4 p.m. accident.

Eric VanSickle was uninjured when he lost control of his vehicle along Route 281 Saturday and the vehicle rolled over, said state police. The accident occurred around 7:45 a.m.

Assault reported State police said Carol J. Basinger, 53, of Connellsville was assaulted at her home between Friday evening and Saturday morning by a person known to her.

Man cited
State police cited Jeffrey Scott Daughtery, 37, for harassment after a fight with Sharon L. Funk, 25, of Uniontown. Police said the fight occurred in the village of Searights around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

Theft reported
Renee Lynn Linninger of Uniontown told state police that three country music CDs and the faceplate from her car stereo were stolen between Saturday evening and Sunday morning while the car was parked at 185 Shadyside Road.

Man arrested
State police charged Brian Joel Swope, 28, of Normalville with simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief after he allegedly struck and then choked 24-year-old Rachel Ann Swope during an argument on Saturday. When Louise Tucholski, 47, of Mill Run tried to help Rachel Swope, police allege that Brian Swope grabbed Tucholski’s cellular telephone and broke it against her car window. Brian Swope was arraigned before District Justice Robert Breakiron and placed in the county jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.

State police said the door to Cynthia Alderson’s Toyota Rav was dented while the vehicle was parked at 10 Adele St. in Uniontown Sunday at 1:36 a.m.

Vehicle burned
State police said a vehicle owned by William Duffy of Uniontown was burned while parked at his 90 Dawson Ave. home last Thursday around 1:20 a.m. Police said the vehicle was destroyed in the fire.

State police said Wally Mays of Point Marion reported his truck stolen from 2573 Springhill Road on Sunday around 2:25 a.m.

Property damaged
State police that on Sunday around 2:28 a.m., the front door of Dairy Mart Foods on Hopwood-Fairchance Road was smashed, causing $150 damage.

Vehicle stolen
Joyce Marie Epley of Smithfield reported her red Chevrolet Cavalier was stolen from her home on Saturday. The vehicle was found later; however, it had been destroyed by fire.

Three Smithfield residents reported damage to their vehicles to state police. While parked along Liberty or Highhouse streets, someone shot marbles through windows on vehicles owned by Reed Swaney, 48, James Landman, 20, Joseph Bruzda, 61. The first two live along Liberty Street; Bruzda lives along Highhouse Street.

Crash reported
Tina Miele lost control of her Pontiac along Route 119 on Dec. 7, said state police. Her car hit a curb and then a parked truck in a parking lot, said police. She was not injured in the 3:30 a.m. accident.

Hit-and-run reported
Ryan Lanko, 24, of Uniontown told state police an unknown driver struck his vehicle while he was stopped along Route 119 northbound Monday at 2:20 p.m. The unknown driver’s vehicle, which was described as a white Dodge or Plymouth Shadow, sustained damage to its front grill and headlights after he struck Lanko’s vehicle and fled the scene. Anyone with information about the incident should call state police at 724-439-7111.

Woman injured
Gianna Mucci of Perryopolis was severely injured in a one-vehicle accident Friday along Warren Street, said state police at Belle Vernon. Mucci’s Hyundai Tiberon traveled off the road 369 feet and through several yards and hit a house owned by Ethel Billistts causing severe damage. Mucci was taken to Uniontown Hospital following the 4:45 a.m. accident by Perry Ambulance, according to police. Perry Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the scene, said police.

Vehicles crash
State police said that vehicles operated by Joddie Doman, 31, of Uniontown and Roger Burnsworth, 46, of Farmington collided at the intersection of Route 40 and Dinner Bell/Ohiopyle Road at 1:45 p.m. Saturday. Fairchance Church vandalized State police said someone entered Mount Calvary Baptist Church sometime between 2 p.m. Sunday and 12 p.m. Monday and ransacked the inside of the church. Police said several items, including two computers, were taken.

State police said Tina Dolan of Dunbar reported she was being harassed by someone she knows on Sunday around 2:20 a.m.
