George E. Policz
George E. Policz, age 80, of Jefferson, Pa., United States Army Veteran who served during World War II, retired in 1985 from J & L Steel Corporation in Aliquippa with over 25 years of service as a Coal Miner and Steelworker, and was born in Mather, Pa., died Monday, December 23, 2002 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia. On August 18, 1951, he married Shirley Davis Policz, who survives. Also surviving are 10 children: Steve Policz and Jamie Policz both of Mooresville, North Carolina, Nadine Conard of Zephyrhills, Florida, Terry Policz and Kim Policz both of Venetia, Pa., Cerise Policz of Mather, Pa., Wyatt Policz of Jefferson, Pa., Dayna Logston of Chatham, Virginia, Ty Policz of Terrell, North Carolina, and Stephanie Policz of Clarksville, Pa.; grandchildren: Shawn Policz, Laura Policz, Jessica Policz, Lindsey Policz, Joshua Policz, Travis Policz, Julie, Zackary Policz, Teara Policz, Kendra Policz, Rudie Policz, Heidi Conard, P. J. Conard, Bubbie Jo Logston, and Janessa Willis; great granddaughter, Erica Conard; brothers: Emil Policz of Jefferson, Pa., Richard Policz of Waynesburg, Pa., Matthew Policz of Carmichaels, Pa., Frank Policz, of Dry Tavern, Pa., Louis Policz of Amherst, Ohio, and Andrew Policz of Waynesburg; and sisters: Dorothy Policz Jacobs of Pittsburgh, Pa., Delores Policz Stabella of Washington, Pa., Irene Policz Kachersky and Betty Policz Haligowski both of Carmichaels, Pa., Priscilla Policz Brown of Waynesburg, and Georgiann Policz Bogucki of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
There will be no public viewing or visitation.
Service and interment will be private for the family.
