Sophia M. Opalinski Polinsky, 77, of Porter, Avenue, Scottdale, Pa., a graduate of East Huntingdon High School Class of 1944, died Wednesday, December 25, 2002 in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Dimitro M. Polinsky, whom she married July 4, 1946; daughter: Joanne Polinsky Sarachine and her husband, Gregory Sarachine, of Harmony, Pa.; grandsons: Dominic Anthony Sarachine, Jacob Alan Sarachine, and Giovanni Vincent Sarachine; brothers; Dr. Stanley Opalinski and his wife, Linda, of Chicago, Illinois, Edward Opalinski and his wife, Florence, of Irwin, Pa., and Louis Opalinski and his wife, Catherine, of Scottdale, Pa.

Family will greet Friends in the Frank Kapr Funeral Home Inc., 417 West Pittsburgh Street, Scottdale, Pa., on Friday from 12 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, December 28, until 10:30 a.m.
