Man sought

A 5-foot-6-inch, 110-pound white man, about 16 to 18 years old, wearing baggy blue jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt and a dark toboggan, reportedly stole a vehicle owned by Samuel J. Davis of Uniontown, wrecked the car on Broadford Road in Owensdale and then fled into Connellsville on foot at 8:05 a.m. Dec. 25.

No one injured

State police said neither David Michael Corob III of Smithfield nor Thomas Earl Ravenscraft II of McClellandtown was injured in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Route 166 and Route 21 at 6:45 p.m. Dec. 24.

Decoration damaged

State police reported that a Christmas ornament owned by Thomas L. Wood, 52, of Perryopolis was damaged between 11:30 p.m. Wednesday and 3:59 a.m. Thursday.

Suspicious bag found

City police said a duffel bag containing bags for packaging narcotics was found on Shady Lane around 11:30 a.m. Thursday. The bag was taken to the police station and was placed into evidence, police said.

Scott King of 452 Braddock Ave. reported that the driver’s front wheel was jacked up and four lug nuts were loosened on his car, parked next to his house, around 2 a.m. Thursday, city police said. Nothing was missing from the vehicle, police said.

Woman struck

Colletta L. Weimer of 78 Lemon St. told city police that she was struck in the forehead with a phone after an argument with a person known to her between 2:58 and 3:25 a.m. Thursday. Police said that on Wednesday, Weimer’s kitchen window was damaged by someone known to her.

Disturbance reported

City police said an unknown person was in the A-Plus Mini Market on 55 Morgantown St. yelling at employee Bob Chissell between 3:19 and 3:29 a.m. Thursday.

Garnett Jordan of Nutt Avenue told city police that her front door window was broken by a person known to her around 3 p.m. Tuesday.

City police said a window was broken in a storage trailer at the St. Vincent De Paul Store at 90 N. Mount Vernon Ave. on Tuesday evening. Nothing appeared to be taken, police said.

Connellsville

Charges filed

Connellsville police arrested Nicholas Haluschak Jr., 22, of Coal Center on Dec. 14 for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after he allegedly was found intoxicated in the 500 block of South Pittsburgh Street.

In an unrelated incident, police filed public drunkenness charges against Jacob Hohmann, 46, of 229 N. Seventh St., Connellsville, on Dec. 14 after he allegedly was found intoxicated in the 100 block of North Water Street.

Woman hit

Retha Zimmerman, 61, of Connellsville suffered a broken leg after she was struck by a vehicle driven by Scott Provance, 33, of Mill Run while walking near Sheetz at 6:12 p.m. Wednesday, city police said.

Zimmerman was treated at Highlands Hospital.

Redstone Twp.

Fire reported

A spokesperson for Fayette County 911 reported a structure fire at 7 p.m. along Timber Lane in Redstone Township.

Firefighters from Allison 1 were first to the scene, and no injuries were reported, he said. No further details were available at press time.
