Fence damaged

State police said someone damaged a wooden fence along a parking lot at the intersection of West Church Street and Fair Street

between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday.

State police said a vehicle operated by Darel Keslar, 40, crashed due to icy conditions along Poplar Run Road sometime Wednesday.

Woman injured

According to state police, vehicles operated by Sandra Delaney, 50, of Mount Pleasant and William Brooks, 45, of Connellsville crashed along Prittstown Road at 4:15 p.m. Thursday.

Delaney reportedly suffered minor injuries.

State police said Eric Komoroski, 21, was not injured when he crashed his vehicle into an embankment along Rock Pool Road Wednesday night.

Benjamin Basinger of Mill Run told state police that someone smashed the driver’s-side window of his vehicle Thursday night.

Tractor stolen

State police at Uniontown said someone stole a 2001 John Deere tractor owned by Albert Ferens of Dunbar from a barn at his Bute Road residence Dec. 16 between 10:30 and 11 p.m.

The suspect then stalled the tractor along the road, and an oncoming car struck it, police said.

According to state police, a Smithfield man allegedly broke the glass front door of Bullfeathers Bar after being asked to leave Friday at 12:15 a.m.

Man charged

State police said charges were filed against Billy Ware of Fairchance after an alleged altercation with a family member at a 23 High St. residence Dec. 20 at 4:45 p.m.

Hit-and-run probed

According to state police, someone driving a red pickup truck struck a vehicle operated by Gerry Solomon, 33, at the intersection McClellandtown Road and Route 21 on Dec. 17 and fled the scene.

Police investigate

California police responded to the following recent incidents:

– Cindy Williams of 1227 California Terrace told police that someone known to her removed sheer curtains and two gold rings valued at $250 from her residence Dec. 21.

– George Bakos of Park Street told police that someone flattened both passenger-side tires of his vehicle outside his home between 7 p.m. Dec. 15 and 8 a.m. Dec. 16.

– Robert Dubois of Skyline Drive told police that someone damaged his vehicle while it was parked at Second and Union streets Monday.

– Donna Beth Santo told police that someone damaged the window of her vehicle between 2:30 and 11:30 p.m. Dec. 12.

– Police cited Brett Anthony Walker, 21, of 309 Spruce St., Zelienople, for public drunkenness after they allegedly found him intoxicated and knocking on a door of a person he did not know at 5:06 a.m. Dec. 13.

– Harold Kooser of Sycamore Street told police that someone kicked his vehicle, causing a large dent in the driver’s-side rear fender, Dec. 4.

– Danny Richter of California Drive told police Dec. 1 that someone stole two guns from his house sometime after Nov. 28.

– Michael Bergh of South Ridge Road told police that someone broke into his basement and removed $1,520 worth of tools between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Dec. 2.

– Kimberly Shipley of Cherry Way told police that someone flattened the tires of her vehicles in her driveway Dec. 28.

– Kathleen McKula of Cherry Alley told police that someone flattened both tires on the driver’s side of her vehicle at 11 p.m. Dec. 15.

– Levi Harrison of Russian Street told police that someone kicked in the door of his home and removed $300 in cash Dec. 12.

– Police cited Nicholas Ratica, 19 of 649 Wood St. for hit-and-run involving an injury after an incident at Jefferson at California at 2:46 p.m. Dec. 21.

– Police said charges are pending against a 24-year-old Bentleyville man accused of raping a woman in her residence at 4:57 a.m. Dec. 13.

– Police charged Nicole McCrory, 28, of 835 Meadow Ave. with acquisition by misrepresentation, forgery and receiving stolen property after she allegedly took a blank prescription pad from her work place and used it to obtain Vicodin at 4:15 p.m. Dec. 9.

Christine Caldrer of 142 Walnut St. told city police Saturday that someone stole her Social Security check and cashed it at an unknown location.

City police said a white man with a red mustache and round glasses and wearing a black leather jacket and jeans grabbed the arm of an 11-year-old girl while she was walking in the area of 59 Lenox St. around 1 p.m. Saturday.

Drugs found

The shift commander at the Fayette County Prison on Court Street told city police at 1:36 p.m. Saturday that a black man threw a bag of marijuana into the yard of the prison and then fled on foot.

Man robbed

City police reported that around 11 p.m. Saturday, a 5-foot-5-inch black man, wearing a black jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, robbed Ray Shetterly of $230 at gunpoint while Shetterly was stopped in his vehicle on Bailey Avenue at Lincoln Street.

Purse stolen

City police reported that a black leather purse that contained various IDs and cash was taken from inside Stockton Pub at 180 W. Main St. around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Man injured

Richard A. Bowers told city police at 1:35 a.m. on Saturday that he was hit with a bat on Coolspring Street. Bowers appeared to have an injury on his right arm, police said.

Charges filed

Dunbar Township code-enforcement officer Roger Adams filed charges Dec. 27 against Larry Porterfield of West Crawford Avenue for accumulation of rubbish and junk vehicles and Paul Schomer of Limestone Hill Road for junk vehicles. A hearing will be held before District Justice Dwight Shaner.

City police assisted the Uniontown Fire Department at 11 Mifflin Ave. on a report of smoke in the basement of Arthur Wilson’s home at 9 p.m. Friday. A bad furnace motor was found, police said.
