Andrew Ewart
Andrew Ewart, 89, of Carmichaels, Pa., died suddenly Saturday, December 28, 2002 while walking in the woods near Carmichaels. Born May 10, 1913 in Carmichaels, Pa., he was the son of Ary J. Ewart and Margaret Jane (Reynolds) Ewart.
He retired from the Pennsylvania Game Commission with 29 years of Service.
Andrew was a well-known Trapper throughout the United States.
He was a Founding Member of the Pennsylvania Trappers Association, a member of Izaak Walton League of Greene County and also the National Trappers Association, and an avid bowler.
He was also a member of First Methodist Church, Carmichaels, Pa.
His wife, Olive (May) Ewart, died April 9, 1993. Also deceased are his parents.
He is survived by two children: Mrs. Charles (Jean) Grimm, State College, Pa., and Edward Ewart and his wife Bonnie, Scottdale, Pa.; three grandchildren: Barbara Grimm Curley, Spruce Creek, Pa., Bruce Grimm, Centre Hall, Pa., and Zachary Ewart, Scottdale, Pa.; six great grandchildren; a sister, Eleanor Carr, San Antonio, Texas; and a brother, Allan Ewart, Coral Springs, Florida.
Friends will be received in the PAUL MICHAEL LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, December 31, from Noon until the Service at 1 p.m. The Rev. Roger Saunders will officiate.
Interment will follow in Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels.
