Karen Diane Swartz Book
Karen Diane Swartz Book, age 48, of Hartford, Kentucky, and formerly of Hopwood, Pa., passed away Saturday, June 29, 2002, in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born December 13, 1953, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of Robert T. and Betty Pore Swartz of Hopwood, Pa.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband, Douglas Book; a stepson, Brian Book of Hartford, Kentucky; two brothers: Robert R. Swartz Jr. of Hopwood and James Swartz of Davie, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Karen was a member of Hartford United Methodist Church, was a graduate of Laurel Highlands Class of 1971, and had been employed with the Signa Corporation.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The Family will gather at the funeral home Tuesday, July 2, at 11 a.m.
Interment Services will be held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa., with Rev. Madison Stringfellow officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
