Thomas L. Vlahovski
Thomas L. Vlahovski, age 85, of Cleveland, Ohio, and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 29, 2002, from Cleveland. He was born May 10, 1917, in Aliquippa, Pa.
“Sycamore Tom” was a well-known businessman in the Uniontown area who owned and operated The Sycamore Hotel and Restaurant at the intersection of Route 119 South and Route 857 for many years.
He was a retired Mason and Bricklayer from PennDOT (Pennsylvania Department of Transportation) and a Veteran of World War II who served with the United States Army.
He is survived by his loving friend and companion of many years, Florence Workman of Smithfield, Pa.; four daughters: Susan and her husband, Tony Dagostino, of Florida, Jackie Vlahovski of Cleveland, Ohio, Vicki Sue Guthrie of Smithfield, Pa., and Rose Vlahovski of Cleveland with whom he recently made his home; one son, Thomas Vlahovski of North Carolina; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Memorial Services will be held in Outcrop Apostolic Church on Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Mary Shultz officiating.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorial contributions to Outcrop Apostolic Church, Outcrop Road, Smithfield, PA 15478 in his memory.
