Lawrence L. Clingerman, 63, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Monday, July 1, 2002, in the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born March 7, 1939, in Elliotsville, Pa., the son of the late Clyde A. Sr., and Mary E. Gibson Clingerman.

Mr. Clingerman was a retired assemblyman for Volkswagen.

He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving with the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his special friend, Cheryl A. Cahill of Uniontown; a sister, Sarah J. Martin and her husband, Glenn of Uniontown; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Maryann Clingerman; and four brothers, Clyde Clingerman Jr., Dale Clingerman, Joseph Clingerman and James Clingerman.

Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and on Friday from 8 until 10 a.m., the hour of services, in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, Pa., with the Rev. Paul Frank officiating. Interment will follow in Christ’s Lutheran Cemetery, Chalk Hill, Pa.
