James T. Moore
James T. Moore, 71, of Deerfield Beach, Florida, passed away Monday, July 1, 2002. He was born on March 27, 1931, in Uniontown, Pa., a son of George and Freda Moore.
“Jim” was raised and educated in Pennsylvania before leaving to join the United States Navy.
Mr. Moore retired in 1968 from a 20-year career in the Navy.
He then spent many years traveling with his wife overseas and working in Libya, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia.
Jim retired to Florida in 1985 to pursue his love of fishing.
His parents and a daughter, Melissa, preceded him in death.
He is survived by Alma, his loving wife of 47 years; devoted daughters: Penny and her husband, Steve Vasile, of Rochester, New York, and Jamie and her husband, Gino DiPalma, of Quebec, Canada; his sister, Jane Patterson of Connellsville, Pa.; beloved grandchildren: Stephen, Christopher, Adrienne, Nick, and Sam; and well as several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service in celebration of his life will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2002, at 11:30 a.m. in Vanderbilt Methodist Church with the Rev. Keith McAlwain officiating.
Military Honors will be conducted by V.F.W. Gold Star Post 7023 and American Legion Post 752 of Perryopolis, Pa.
