Gerald Fields of 83 Wayne St. told city police Sunday that a rock was thrown through a front window on his house at 2 a.m.

City police cited Mike Alborg, 29, of 6802 National Pike, New Salem, for public drunkenness at 3:30 a.m. Sunday after he was allegedly pounding on cars in the Heritage Inn lot along West Main Street.

Joseph Swartz of 86 Connellsville St. told city police that he came home Saturday at 3 p.m. and found $25 and a pair of Lugz shoes missing from his residence. He said his screen was ripped open and his door was open when he arrived.

Guitar stolen
Mark Ferguson told city police at 5:45 p.m. Saturday that a Sanchis-Carpio cedar guitar was removed from his vehicle while it was parked in the Ferguson Funeral Home lot on Morgantown Street. He told police the vehicle might have been unlocked. The vehicle was not damaged, police said.

State police in Uniontown said a black Chevrolet Cavalier bearing Pennsylvania registration DVP-6099 owned by Jeffrey Lee Lytle, 31, of Connellsville was stolen from 1508 Buttermore Blvd. on Friday.

James Thomas, 23, of Lemont Furnace was cited for harassment for allegedly slapping Donna Wade, 19, of Uniontown at 3 a.m. Sunday outside of 4 Lemon Wood Acres, state police in Uniontown said.

State police in Uniontown filed a criminal mischief citation against Eli Gustovich, 24, of Vestaburg for allegedly damaging a wooden door at the home of Kevin Stotka, 36, of 20 Dunlap St., Republic, at 10:45 p.m. Saturday.

Theft reported
State police in Uniontown said two vehicles parked near the Blue Hole swimming hole in the state game lands off Liston School House Road were broken into Saturday afternoon.
Three beach chairs, $6 and a plastic Newport cigarette case were taken from one of the cars, which is owned by Earl J. Dowden, 39, of Dunbar, while nothing was taken from the second vehicle owned by Brian L. Stillwagon, 42, of Dunbar.

State police in Uniontown said a 19-year-old Smithfield man allegedly punched a 17-year-old male from Smithfield in his face at 12:40 a.m. Sunday in Outcrop. Police are investigating the incident.

State police in Uniontown said the rear window of a car owned by Douglas Rahm, 45, of Smithfield was damaged with a rock Friday at 1:30 a.m. along Clark Road.

State police in Uniontown said summary charges were filed against Terrance Batie, 42, of Adah for allegedly striking Vicki Lynn Bittinger, 25, of Adah on her arm at their residence at 355 First St., Gates, during an argument at 5:45 a.m. Friday.

State police in Uniontown said charges were filed against Laurie Knight Jr., 36, of Connellsville for an alleged public drunkenness incident that occurred along Dry Hill Road at 11:50 p.m. Friday.

State police in Uniontown said three fishing rods and tools were taken from two vehicles in the Dunbar Eagle’s lot Friday or Saturday. Robert Murphy, 41, of Scottdale owns one vehicle and the second vehicle is owned by Randolph McBeth, 48, of Vanderbilt, police said.

Man charged
Paul Harvey Long, 33, of Connellsville was charged with violating a protection from abuse order on June 23, when he was allegedly found sleeping in a vehicle outside the Swink Hill Road home of Melissa R. Faidley, 29, according to state police in Uniontown.

State police in Uniontown said the lock on a rear sliding glass door on the Dixon Boulevard home of Alex Merkosky, 30, was damaged and a purse and diaper bag were stolen Thursday between 4:30 and 5:20 a.m.

Robert W. Myers, 32, of 2550 Morgantown Road was charged by state police in Uniontown for allegedly assaulting Teresa A. Michaels, 23, same address, at their residence at 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

State police in Uniontown cited Anita Louise Reed, 50, of Connellsville for allegedly throwing an object through a door window on the home of Paul Garstecki, 45, of Georgia Avenue at 11:25 p.m. July 3.

State police in Uniontown said a brick was thrown through the driver’s side window of a car owned by Woodrow Wise Jr., 24, of Grindstone on June 30 or July 1.

Mary Ann Jefferies, 57, of Hopwood told state police someone stole her vehicle from the parking lot of the Faith Assembly of God on Morgantown Road Sunday at 6 p.m. Police said the vehicle was found later that evening in Morgantown, W.Va.

Kathy Ann Schomer, 49, of Connellsville told state police a stove was taken from a trailer she rented to a 28-year-old Connellsville man sometime between midnight and 11 a.m. on June 30.

Retail theft
State police said someone pumped $20.01 worth of gasoline at J&G Foodmart on Georges-Fairchance Road Tuesday at 10:45 p.m. and left the scene without paying.

Man cited
State police in Uniontown filed summary charges, including disorderly conduct, against Jon D. Miller, 37, of Uniontown who was removed from Marti’s Bar on Bute Road for fighting at 1 a.m. He returned at 2:15 a.m. as a passenger in a car and screamed threats and obscenities at employees and patrons as they were leaving.
The car stopped, blocking traffic on Bute Road, police said.

Bag taken
Robert Lyon Hollenback of Pittsburgh told state police someone took his camera bag that was hanging near his campsite sometime between 2 and 3 p.m. on June 13.

Criminal mischief
Donna Camino of 215 Second St., Allison, told Redstone Township police that someone smashed the windshield on her 1989 Cruisemaster recreational vehicle overnight. The incident was reported Sunday.

Burglary
Redstone Township police are investigating a burglary and attempted theft at Gina Orbash’s residence at 110 Front St., Grindstone.
The incident occurred between 8:30 p.m. July 5 and 12:45 a.m. July 6. According to police, someone broke the glass on a side door, reached in and activated the garage door.
Police said items including two lawn mowers, a string trimmer, paintings and vases were found in the center of the garage as if they had been readied for removal. The investigation is continuing.

Theft
Karen Guerrieri of Republic told Redstone Township police that someone removed $2,900 worth of jewelry from her home.
The jewelry was last seen on June 15, when Guerrieri said she put it on a kitchen counter during a graduation party at her home. There were about 20 people in attendance.
Guerrieri told police she didn’t realize the jewelry was missing until the following Monday, June 17. The items included a 1/2-karat diamond necklace, a 3-karat diamond, a 14-karat gold tennis bracelet and a gold watch.

Car fire
A car owned by Melinda Stewart of 171 Republic Road (Route 166) caught fire July 4 around 1:39 p.m. The fire was endangering a nearby house, but was quickly put out by the Republic Volunteer Fire Department. Redstone Township police were on hand for traffic control.

Vehicle recovered
A 1998 Chevrolet S10 truck reported stolen on July 1 was found later in the day by a man riding a dirt bike in Redstone Township. Dave Kanyok of 122 Simpson Road discovered the undamaged vehicle in an old railroad tunnel around 8:30 p.m.
The truck is owned by Frank Mutnansky, of 165 Peach Lane, Uniontown, who had reported the theft to the state police at Uniontown.
The truck is valued at $6,000.

Theft of service
Ron Wadding of Willis Taxi Service of Somerset told Redstone Township police that four customers left his vehicle without paying for a $124.95 fare.
Wadding told police he picked up three black males and a black female at Jim’s Truck Stop in Somerset County who wanted to go to the Hunter’s Ridge Apartments. One man asked if Wadding could stop at Brownsville General Hospital, near the apartments so he and his friends could visit a relative.
Wadding told police the four never returned and did not pay the fare.
