MENALLEN GRANGE will meet at 7 p.m. Friday. New members will be taken in. Refreshments will be served. LIONS CLUB, Uniontown, will hold its 14th annual golf scramble on Saturday at Springdale Golf Club. An 8 a.m. shotgun start is planned. Entry fees are $65 for non-members and $48 for members of Springdale. Cash prizes total $2,000. Thurby Lincoln-Mercury will give a new car lease for a hole in one. Proceeds benefit the Thomas M. Dolfi Memorial Scholarship Fund, providing scholarships to seniors in three local high schools.

BURD FAMILY REUNION will be held at 1 p.m. on Aug. 11 at the Wharton Township Municipal Park. Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. Members are to bring a covered dish. For more information, call 724-439-1739.

FAYETTE COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY will hold its annual summer outing at 1 p.m. Sunday at Aurelia, the restored 1828 Richard Brooke house in Addison. The covered-dish picnic will be followed by a tour of the historic al sites of Addition. For more information, call 724-439-4422 or 724-438-5226.

ALBERT GALLATIN HIGH SCHOOL BAND will hold a car wash and bake sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the John Maykuth Funeral Home, Masontown. Costs are $5 for cars and $8 for trucks.

ALLISON 1 VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT will meet at 2 p.m. Sunday.

UNIONTOWN FLOWER CLUB will meet at 1 p.m. Friday at Trinity United Presbyterian Church. Sister Rita from Mt. St. Macrina will give a demonstration on making corn husk roses.

SOUTH BROWNSVILLE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 412 Second St., Brownsville, will hold a health screening in conjunction with Brownsville General Hospital from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday in the church social hall.

ALLISON CHRISTIAN CHURCH will hold a car wash and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Advanced Auto Parts, Route 40, Brownsville, to benefit Marge Hatalsky, a heart transplant recipient.

GROOVER FAMILY REUNION will be held Saturday from 12:30 to 4 p.m. at Wharton Township Municipal Park, Farmington.
