Man charged

State police in Uniontown filed charges against Robert Lewis, 40, of Uniontown for allegedly punching Michelle Lewis, 35, at 1 a.m. Tuesday along Peach Lane.

He was arraigned by District Justice Wendy Dennis and committed to the Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $5,000 percentage bond.

Vehicle recovered

State police in Belle Vernon said a 1996 Jeep Cherokee was recovered Monday along Murphy Road and two juveniles were taken into custody.

Police said John Hancak of Uniontown was the victim. Uniontown police reported that the Hancak reported the vehicle stolen from the Sunoco gas station at 55 Connellsville St. at 4:20 p.m. Monday.

The vehicle was left running when it was stolen, police said.

Woman charged

State police in Belle Vernon charged Verna Lynn Uphold, 34, of Scottdale with making false reports to police for allegedly concocting a report that her boyfriend assaulted her during a domestic dispute on April 28 along Eureka Hill Road, Jacobs Creek.

Prior to a preliminary hearing on Monday, Uphold admitted to lying to police and making up the entire story about being assaulted to a Westmoreland County assistant district attorney, police said.

Man cited

City police cited John P. Craft, 22, of 144 S. Mount Vernon Ave., Uniontown, for public drunkenness and harassment for allegedly yelling at Tiffany Lynch, 18, of 155 S. Mount Vernon Ave. from the sidewalk in front of her residence at 11:17 p.m. Monday. Police noted that Craft had been harassing her for several days.

Car stolen

City police said Donald Hanon reported the theft of his dark blue four-door 1986 Oldsmobile Delta 88 bearing Pennsylvania registration EPJ-6228 from 43 Mifflin Ave. He said it was taken between 1 and 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

City police said a rock was thrown through a window on Francis Veno’s house at 34 Esther St. at 2 a.m. Monday.

Two men cited

City police cited Joseph A. Swartz, 27, of Apartment 3, 86 Connellsville St., Uniontown, with harassment and disorderly conduct and Brandon Crossland, 18, of 96 Connellsville St. with harassment following a confrontation along Connellsville Street at 6:19 p.m. Monday.

Missing juvenile found

City police said they found a juvenile girl who was reported missing by the Lakewood, Ohio, police department. She was located in the North Gallatin Avenue area at 8:26 p.m. Monday and held at a local facility until her mother picked her up, police said.

Woman cited

City police cited Shelley DeAnn Lilly, 19, of West Leisenring with underage drinking after receiving a noise complaint about people on a porch at 26 Lincoln St. at 1:47 a.m. Monday. Police said they told three people there to go inside. Officers circled the block and returned to find that they returned to the porch. Lilly was the only person underage and the only person cited, police said.

Three vehicles collide

State police in Uniontown said four people were hurt in the accident at the intersection of Leckrone-Highhouse and Leckrone-Masontown roads at 9:50 p.m. Monday. A 16-year-old McClellandtown male driving with two male passengers, Richard B. Hall, 37, of New Salem and Geraldine M. Saluga, 61, of Uniontown were involved in the mishap.

Police said 16-year-old driver suffered a serious injury and the two passengers suffered critical injuries.

Police did not identify the passengers and said they did not know their ages. Hall suffered a moderate injury, police said.

April Lynn Kushak, of 2 South Hills Terrace, told Brownsville police that someone kicked in both doors to her apartment and removed $60. The incident was reported Saturday at 12:42 a.m.

Criminal mischief

Ester Miller, of 1 South Hills Terrace, told Brownsville police that she heard two bottles break near her apartment. She found two broken beer bottles and honey smeared on her door. The incident was reported Friday at 3:12 p.m.

Stolen vehicle

Stephen Mason told Brownsville police Tuesday that a van he rented from U-Haul in Washington had been missing since July 3. The vehicle was located at Hunter’s Ridge and was towed back to the rental company.

James Shashura of 108 Barnett Ave. told Brownsville police that someone removed Michael Shashura’s wallet from his vehicle overnight. The incident was reported July 4 at 8:50 p.m.

Woman struck

State police at Waynesburg charged Lisa Martin of Waynesburg for allegedly striking Holly Usher of Waynesburg at Mountain View Gardens at 7:05 p.m. Monday. The charges were filed with District Justice Neil Canan.

Drinking underage

According to state police, Brandon C. Short, 19, of Mount Morris was charged for being under the influence of alcohol along Route 21 Saturday at 11 p.m.

ATV stolen

State police said someone stole a yellow Bombardier all-terrain vehicle with a missing front bumper from the Solomon Dodge Chrysler car dealership along Route 21 between 9:30 and 10 p.m. July 2.

Gasoline stolen

Someone stole $21.24 of gasoline from the 7-Eleven along East High Street in Waynesburg Monday at 9:06 p.m., state police said.

Bonnie Smouse, 54, of Waynesburg told state police someone stole a Honda all-terrain vehicle from her Orndorff Road residence Friday between midnight and 7 a.m.

Items stolen

Ronald Bello told state police that someone removed items from his vehicle at his 48 Vernon St. residence between 7 p.m. Monday and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.
