Perryopolis Restaurant robbed
Borough police are investigating a robbery that occurred Thursday at 2:26 p.m. at the Subway restaurant along Route 51.
According to police, a man entered the restaurant and demanded money at knifepoint from an employee. The man got away with an undetermined amount of money and fled northbound on Route 51 in a white Ford truck.
The suspect is in his early to mid 20s, about 6 feet 3 inches tall, and weighing 180 to 190 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown and blond hair. Anyone with information is asked to call Perryopolis police at 724-736-0700.

Sandy Ann Torbich, 49, of Uniontown told state police someone threw a tomato through a window of her Mullen Street home Thursday at 1 a.m.

Drugs stolen
State police said someone smashed the glass on the front door of New Salem Pharmacy at 3:05 a.m. Thursday, entered the store and removed several controlled substances.

Wallet stolen
Steven Oscar, 43, of Monsey, N.Y., told state police that while he was rafting, someone removed money from his wallet while it was being held at Whitewater Adventures between 3 and 7 p.m. July 3.

Woman hurt in crash
Township police said Elizabeth McDonald, 19, of Swanton, Md., was treated at Uniontown Hospital for a minor injury suffered in a two-vehicle accident at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday on Route 40.
Police said the other driver was James Humbertson of 224 Fearer Road, Markleysburg.

Theft charges filed
Township police charged Ronald L. Faber, 33, of 209 Main St., Point Marion, with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property for allegedly taking audio-visual equipment valued at $14,000 from Nemacolin Woodlands on Feb. 19.
Police Chief David D. Sisler said Faber, who was an audio-visual technician at the resort, will receive the charges through a summons. Nemacolin security director Joe Brown told police he received calls from people who said Faber had the equipment in his home.

Tools stolen
Township police said $3,740 in lawn and garden power tools and other equipment was stolen from Herring’s Garden Center in Chalk Hill between April 7 and June 25.
