Carl G. Humphreys, 90, of Masontown, Pa., went to be with his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 11, 2002. He was born June 6, 1912, in Old Frame, Fayette County, Pa., son of Harry Ray Humphreys and Grace Blosser Humphreys.

Carl was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Old Frame and United Mine Workers of America Robena Local 6321.

His wife, Mary Magdalene Barney Humphreys, son, Richard L. Humphreys, sisters, Elsie Taylor, Ruth Webster, Elizabeth Beech, and parents preceded him in death.

Surviving are his three children: Carl D. Humphreys and wife Mary Jane, Toledo, Ohio, Mrs. Jerome (Shirley Ann) Fitzpatrick, Boca Raton, Florida, and Mrs. Richard (Sandy) Tramte, Mentor, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Helen Humphreys, Elyria, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and four sisters: Anna Crofcheck, Redmond, Oregon, Willice Cavany, Anderson, North Carolina, Nellie Begley Myers and Helen Oliver both of Tallmadge, Ohio.

The Family will receive Friends in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., today 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Rev. Donald Walls officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa.

Visitation was also held Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
