City police said Norman Wellington reported on Sunday afternoon that a tire on his vehicle was slashed overnight when it was parked in the rear of 28 Wellington Ave.

City police cited Brandon Lee Crossland, 18, of 25 Winona St., Uniontown, with harassment for allegedly punching Joseph Swartz in the face in the alley behind 35 Winona Street at 3:50 p.m. Sunday.

Four people cited
City police cited three Herman Street neighbors and another man with summary offenses following disturbances Saturday and Sunday.
Police said at 12:45 a.m. Saturday, Pam Cassidy, 40, of 14 Herman St. and Joyce Ann John 39, of 20 Herman St. were cited for disorderly conduct after they were allegedly yelling at each other using profane language from their respective porches.
While writing those citations, John’s son Michael John Bodis, 19, of 6 Brookcrest Drive, Cecil, went to 14 Herman St. and allegedly began yelling and threatening another person. Bodis was then cited for disorderly conduct.
On Sunday, police returned to 14 Herman St. twice at 7:40 p.m. and 9:52 p.m. As a result of the 7:40 p.m. call, police cited John and Michael Cronin, 39, of 20 Herman St. with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.
The 9:52 p.m. call resulted in police citing John with public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and harassment and Cronin with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

Two people cited
Michael Delbridge, 30, of 26 Lincoln St., Uniontown, was cited for harassment and Regina Rene Weaver, 22, of 124 Chyde St., Hopwood, was cited for disorderly conduct by city police following a report of a disturbance at Delbridge’s residence at 1:40 a.m. Saturday. Police said Delbridge will receive his citation through a summons.

City police said John Lee, 31, of 196 Lenox St., Uniontown, was cited for criminal mischief for allegedly striking Marlene M. Lee and breaking the windshields on two vehicles she owns just before 4 a.m. Saturday.

Steven McKnight, 18, of 150 Walnut St., Uniontown, was cited Friday at 8:50 p.m. for allegedly violating a city ordinance prohibiting dogs from running loose.
City police said Bernadette McDaniels of 154 Walnut St. reported that the dog was harassing her and her daughter, scratching her door, trying to enter her house and running in her yard. Police noted that McKnight was warned about his dog twice before.

City police filed a driving under the influence of alcohol complaint against Dino Ezzi, 42, of 3 Dukat Lane, Uniontown, in connection with a June 12 accident at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Barton Mill Road. His blood-alcohol content was .18 percent, police said.

Drunk driving charged
City police filed a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol against Ronald Bailey, 57, of 79 North Gordon St., Uniontown, in connection with a June 20 traffic stop at the intersection of Stewart Avenue and East Main Street. He was also cited for driving without a license and failing to stop at a red light.

Borough police cited a juvenile at 1:05 a.m. Saturday for violating the borough’s curfew and released the youth to a family member.

Borough police cited Richard Schartiger, 45, of Masontown for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct following an incident along North Water Street on Friday.

Drunk driving charged
State police in Belle Vernon said Robert Kenneth Miller, 34, of Connellsville was arrested for driving under the influence after he was pulled over for traveling at 89 miles per hour southbound on Route 119 at 2 a.m. Monday.

Police chase
State police said Nathan C. Miller, 19, of Prosperity was charged with DUI, fleeing and eluding police and various traffic violations after he allegedly led police on a chase through Franklin, Washington and Morris Townships in Greene County and Morris Township in Washington County. Police said the pursuit ended along Route 18 about a mile north of Sparta when Miller encountered a rolling police roadblock.

Sexual assault
A 13-year-old female told state police she had sexual intercourse with a 20-year-old male at a home along Piper Ridge Road between 3 p.m. May 31 and 2 a.m. June 1. Police said the incident is being investigated because the male is more than four years older than the female.

Minor injury
State police said Susan Kay Miller, 39, of Waynesburg drove her vehicle off Route 18 southbound and struck a utility pole July 8 at 2:53 a.m. Miller sustained a minor injury in the accident, police said.

Theft
Mark Fox of Waynesburg was charged with theft after he was seen riding a bike in Waynesburg Borough that Crystal Radjenovic had reported stolen Friday at 2:15 a.m. Police said Fox was chased by a witness and fled on foot without the bike, but he was later captured along Route 21 near Bucktown. Charges against Fox were filed at the office of District Justice Neil Canan, police said.

Paul Taylor, owner of Jefferson Market, told state police someone kicked in the basement door of the market sometime between 1:15 and 1:30 a.m. Saturday, but did not remove any items after entering the building because the store’s alarm was activated.

Crystal Garber, 38, of Waynesburg told state police a lawn mower was stolen from the yard of a vacant home along Smith Creek Road she owned sometime between July 2 and 10.

State police said Tonya Jean Galloway, 18, of Mather and Shaun Jacob Smitley, 20, of Carmichaels were cited for underage consumption after they were observed Sunday at 1:15 a.m. near Mather Park. Police said citations were filed against both at the office of District Justice Neil Canan.

Domestic assault
State police said Deborah Lynn Adamson, 45, and Ralph Edward Adamson, 44, both of Mather, were charged with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after an altercation Sunday at 10:55 p.m. at their 214 Second St. home. Both were arraigned before District Justice Neil Canan and were released on $25 bond, police said. Police said preliminary hearing dates have not yet been set in the case.

Vehicle fire
State police said a vehicle driven by George Hixon of Greensboro was destroyed by fire Sunday at 12:28 a.m. along a legislative route. Hixon was not injured, police said.

State police said Elmer R. Svetz of Carmichaels was cited for harassment after he reportedly threatened to run into a golf cart operated by Mary A. Hickman of Carmichaels with his golf cart Saturday at 1:40 p.m. at Jessop Boat Club.

James E. Dillinger of Dilliner told state police someone damaged a gas meter in his front yard sometime between 6:30 and 8:20 a.m. Sunday.

Simple assault
State police said Richard Earl Donaldson, 73, and Mary Landman, 36, both of Dilliner were charged with simple assault and harassment after an incident Saturday at 11:10 p.m. at the mobile home in which they both reside.
Police said a verbal altercation turned physical, with both being struck with a baseball bat and other items. Charges against both were filed at the office of District Justice Lee Watson, police said.

Man held for court
Charles Edward Lynn, 23, of 410 Fallen Timber Road, Point Marion, was ordered held for court at a preliminary hearing Monday on charges filed by state police alleging that he broke into a Smithfield man’s home on June 21.
District Justice Randy S. Abraham ordered Lynn held on charges of burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and criminal trespass, and remanded him to the Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $10,000 percentage bond.
According to an affidavit filed by police, Kirk Douglas Rollison of Main Street pulled into his driveway and saw Lynn entering the back door of the residence. Rollison went upstairs and saw Lynn with his handgun and rifle, police said.

Charges waived
Steven Price, 35, of 1300 Gurley Drive, Scottdale, waived his preliminary hearing Monday on robbery charges filed by Uniontown police in connection with a July 5 incident on South Street.
District Justice Mark Blair committed Price to the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $100,000 cash bond.
The suspect has been charged with robbery, theft, receiving stolen property and simple assault for allegedly stealing Patty Lapresta’s purse as she was walking along South Street.
Joseph Lapresta and Brian Martin witnessed the theft and chased Price and caught up to him in the alley behind Mundel’s Furniture and Appliance Outlet, according to an affidavit filed by Detective Phillip Jones.
Price then allegedly turned toward his pursuers, pulled what appeared to be a black semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at them, police said. The two men stopped there and Price fled, police said.
Police said they eventually caught up to Price on July 10 in Lemon Wood Acres and he provided an audiotaped admission of his involvement in the incident.
Jones said a BB gun, which Price said he pointed at the two men, was found in the vehicle in which he was apprehended.

Missing boy found
A little confusion between the mother and great grandmother of a 5-year-old Georges Township boy led state police, Fayette County sheriff K-9 units, five volunteer fire departments and a medical helicopter to search two-and-half-hour Monday afternoon for the child who wasn’t missing at all.
State police in Uniontown said the boy’s great grandmother Sarah Jane Sumey reported him missing at 12:30 p.m. The boy was playing outside of her home at 967 Walnut Hill Rd. when he ran around the side of the house and she couldn’t find him.
After searching for about 15 minutes, she called police. Firefighters from Collier, Fairchance, Footedale, McClellandtown and Smithfield, the sheriff’s K-9s and a Stat MedEvac helicopter all joined in the search.
At approximately 2:55 p.m., the boy and his mother arrived at the scene. The mom told police that the child told Sumey that he was going home, which is next door, and the mom assumed that Sumey knew where the boy had gone, police said.
