Three-year-old Derek Gaisbauer beats the heat Wednesday by playing in the fountain at Shady Grove in North Union Township. Many residents throughout the region took to pools or stayed in their air-conditioned homes as temperatures climbed into the 90s. Rain is forecast for today.
