Man cited Wayne Wyar, 47, of Davidsville was cited for public drunkenness at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday after appearing intoxicated along Interstate 70 at the North Belle Vernon exit, state police said.

State police said a safe containing $700, a wedding ring, two watches and various U.S. coins were taken between July 12 and 15 from the home of Delores Jones, 52, of Terrace Acres, Scottdale.

Chief Richard A. Barron has released the borough police department’s activity report for June, which shows the following: one burglary; one assault, with one arrest; three public drunkenness incidents, with four citations issued; 10 harassment incidents, with four citations issued; eight thefts; six 911 hang-up calls; 27 traffic and parking details; three animal complaints; 12 disturbances, with six arrests; 14 criminal mischief incidents, with one citation issued; 13 juvenile complaints, with three arrests; four ordinance violations; four accidents; one fatal hit-and-run accident with an arrest; 10 assists; three suspicious person reports; five domestic disturbances; 25 escorts; two landlord-tenant disputes; 10 alarms activated; one neighbor dispute; one unauthorized use of a vehicle complaint; two trespassing complaints, with one arrest; three fireworks complaints; five civil complaints; five motorist assists; four harassment by communication reports; three warrants served, with two arrests; one recovered property; and one protection from abuse order violation.
Barron also said police issued 23 traffic citations. The total value of property lost or stolen was $6,966, and the value of recovered property was $6,000.

Vehicle catches fire
State police said no injuries were reported when a vehicle operated by Janice Harshman, 32, of Connellsville caught fire on Route 119 at 10:03 a.m. Wednesday.

State police said no injuries were reported in a three-vehicle chain-reaction accident on Route 982 at Longanecker Road at 7:41 p.m. Saturday involving vehicles operated by a 17-year-old Smock woman, Melissa Geary, 37, of Mount Pleasant and Robert Patton, 81, of Connellsville.

Eleanor Sampson and John Petruska, both of Albion Street, Uniontown, told state police that windows on their vehicles were damaged between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 6:15 a.m. Wednesday.

City police cited Jamal M. Eddings, 20, of 402 Searights Village, Uniontown, with harassment after Christina Avantis and witnesses told officers that he pushed and shoved her in her Crow Avenue residence at 5 a.m. Thursday.

Dumpster fire
City police said the city fire department extinguished a fire in a Dumpster at Sam’s Restaurant on Morgantown Street at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Bank robbed
State police are seeking a man who robbed the Scottdale Bank and Trust Co. at gunpoint at 11:10 a.m. Thursday.
The man fled in a brown Dodge Ramcharger toward the McDonald’s on Route 819. The vehicle was later recovered in Mount Pleasant, police said.
The suspect is a white man, about 30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds. Police said he was wearing a stocking mask but is believed to have brown eyes and brown hair. He was also wearing a white shirt and dark pants.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call investigating Trooper Smetak at 724-832-3288. The FBI is assisting the state police in the investigation, along with the Greensburg Fire Department bloodhound team.

Barbara Lee Grant of Fairbank told state police that between 9:35 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. Sunday, someone entered her home and stole a 27-inch television, an RCA videocassette recorder and several pieces of jewelry.

Laurel Mall told state police that between noon Monday and 12:30 p.m. Thursday, their roof was damaged with a sharp object.

Man punched
Lewis Mills, 49, of Brownsville alleged to state police that he was punched by a 28-year-old Uniontown man at Bierer Wood Acres at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police impersonator
An unidentified white man posing as a police officer pulled over a male motorist on Interstate 79 in Greene County at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, said state police.
The man was driving a dark blue Chevrolet Corsica and used a red bubble light, said police. The unidentified man told the motorist that he was speeding and asked for his driver’s license and registration. After receiving the motorist’s driving license, he told the motorist to wait in the car.
The impersonator then pulled onto Interstate 79 heading south, and the motorist overtook him. The impersonator then turned on his red bubble light and tried to pull the motorist over again, but the motorist did not stop and impersonator let him go, police said.
The unknown man was 35 to 42 years old, stood 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighed about 230 pounds, said police, adding that he had brown hair, a full face and a unibrow.
The man wore a white, short-sleeve, button-down shirt with a round badge attached to his chest, blue jeans and carried a revolver in a tan holster, said police.
The motorist believed the unknown man’s vehicle had a white license plate. Anyone with information should contact state police in Waynesburg.

State police said Michael Kirchner, 23, of Masontown was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after sliding through the Mennonite Church Road, Masontown-Leckrone Road intersection and striking a vehicle operated by Jennifer Skolik, 28, of Uniontown at 5:30 p.m. July, 8.

Underage drinking
According to police, Brendan McCalla, 18, Johnathan Augustine, 20, Vincent Matrascja, 20, Eric Schaffer, 18, and a 17-year-old male, all of Pittsburgh, were cited for underage drinking on Chaintown Road at 7:59 p.m. Wednesday.

Christopher Henry, 23, of Connellsville was cited for trespassing on the property of Robert Noyes, 44, of White and threatening Noyes Saturday at 4:02 p.m., said state police.

Theft reported
Joseph Skowroner of Mount Pleasant told state police that his truck and a large bag of tools were stolen on a field just south of Polish Cemetery off Route 31 Monday. Police said the truck was recovered but not the tools.
