Carney-Olesko
Kimberly Olesko of Republic and Daniel L. Carney Jr. of Uniontown were married on April 27 in a nuptial Mass celebrated by the Rev. William Kiel in St. John Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown. The bride is the daughter of Albert Sr. and JoAnn Olesko of Kennedy Street, Republic. Parents of the bridegroom are Daniel Sr. and Donna Carney of Milton Street, Uniontown.
The bride wore a white satin gown with sweetheart neckline, long-tapered sleeves and basque waistline with full skirt and flowing to a cathedral-length train. A finger-tip length veil was held by a band of pearls and crystals.
Matron of honor was Michele Apicella, sister of the bride. Renee Micaletti was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Melissa Kidd; Amy Olesko and Darlene Olesko, sisters-in-law of the bride; and Candee Sabatula, sister of the bridegroom. Flower girl was Ashley Sabatula, niece of the bridegroom.
Michael Mercadante was best man. Groomsmen were Vince Apicella, brother-in-law of the bride; John Carney, brother of the bridegroom; Brian Olesko and Albert Olesko, brothers of the bride; and John Rockwell. Ring bearer was Jacob Apicella, nephew of the bride.
A reception was held at the Hopwood Firemen’s Social Hall.
The bride graduated from Brownsville Area High School and earned a bachelor of science degree in biology and medical technology from Penn State University.
She is a medical technologist at Monongahela Valley Hospital.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Laurel Highlands High School and earned an associate degree in architectural engineering technology from Penn State University.
He is employed by CSX Railroad.
The newlyweds honeymooned at Niagara Falls.
They are living at 47 Park St., Republic.
