Kathryn “Kay” P. Slabaugh Allison
Kathryn “Kay” P. Slabaugh Allison, 65, of Columbia Drive, Chester, West Virginia, went home to her Lord on Wednesday, July 17, 2002, from East Liverpool City Hospital. She was born March 2, 1937, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of Lee Slabaugh and Juanita Finley Slabaugh.
“Kay” was most recently a member of the Christian Assembly in Ohioville, Pa., and was a longtime member of Newell (West Virginia) Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.
She graduated from the former North Union Township High School in Uniontown, Pa., and last worked was the Manager of the Alicia Arms Apartments in Chester.
Her parents and two brothers, Larry Slabuagh and Robert Slabaugh, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, George Allison; three sons: Robert Desmond of Las Vegas, Nevada, Thomas Desmond of Chippewa, Pa., and George Allison of Chester, West Virginia; two daughters: Mrs. Diane Desmond Wells and her husband, Tom Wells, of Chester, West Virginia, and Mrs. Katie Allison Heim and her husband, Andy Heim, of Tarentum, Pa.; two sisters: Mrs. Robert (Lois) Blair of Newell, West Virginia, and Mrs. Tom (Gwen) Sonoga of Westminster, Maryland; and 12 grandchildren: Brad Stafford, Sandi Stafford, Joey Caughy, Brad Wells, Derrick Allison, Vince Allison, Morgan Desmond, Josh Desmond, Alex Desmond, Maura Heim, Mark Heim and Christopher Heim.
The Family received Friends at the ARNER FUNERAL CHAPEL INC., 607 Carolina Avenue, Chester, West Virginia, on Friday from 1 to 9 p.m. where Funeral Services were officiated by Pastor Jamie Reese of the Christian Assembly on Saturday, July 20, at 11 a.m.
Burial followed in Mill Creek Hill Cemetery.
