Ivan H. Rohlf, age 83, of Filbert, Pa., passed away Saturday, July 20, 2002, in Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown, with his loving wife by his side. He was born January 7, 1919, in Uniontown, Pa., a son of Robert W. Rohlf and Emma Shaffer Rohlf.

Ivan was a member of St. Procopius Catholic Church, New Salem, Pa., the church choir, The Procopians, and Secular Franciscans in Uniontown where he had served as President.

Ivan was a Veteran of the United States Army Air Corps who served in World War II and a member of V.F.W. Post 47 and Father Dunn Chapter of the Catholic War Veterans both in Uniontown.

He retired from West Penn Power Company.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Dailey Rohlf in 1969, sisters, Katherine and Agnes Zack, brothers, Woodrow, Robert, Raymond and Irwin Rohlf, and his parents.

Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Catherine Sirilla Mayerske Rohlf; children: Margaret Cookus of Uniontown, Pa., Robert T. Rohlf and his wife, Diane, of Somerset, Pa., Gerard L. Rohlf and his wife, Marita, of Pittsburgh, Pa., Mary Packrone of Uniontown, Pa., Francis H. Rohlf and his wife, Rosemary, of Ebensburg, Pa., Linda Liggett and her husband, Scott, of Bloomfield, Colorado, David W. Rohlf and his wife, Linda, of San Francisco, California, Michael L. Rohlf and his wife, Tricia, of Grindstone, Pa., Anthony Mayerske of Butler, Pa., Michael Mayerske and wife, Kaylene, of Frontenac, Kansas, and Paulette Russell and husband, Robert, of Baxter Springs, Kansas; 34 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren; a brother, Norman Curtis Rohlf and his wife, Virginia, of Farmington, Pa.; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Barb and Paul Sirilla of Filbert, Pa., and Margaret Bandes of Merrittstown, Pa.

Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC, 20 North Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., today from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Wednesday, July 24, until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.

A Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in St. Procopius Church, New Salem, with Rev. Fr. James L. Popochock as Celebrant.

Interment will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Uniontown, where Military Rites will be accorded by Uniontown V.F.W. Post 47.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Procopius Living Memorial Fund.

Wake Service will be held on Tuesday at 3 p.m.

Catholic Daughters of America Court 505 Uniontown will recite the Rosary on Tuesday at 3:15 p.m.
