City police said Angel M. Zamor of 63 Charles St. reported Sunday afternoon that his TV and a window air-conditioning unit were stolen from his house.

The City Mission on Cleveland Street reported that Pennsylvania registration plate ETF-2106 was removed from one of its vans after midnight on Sunday, city police said.

City police said Lillian Grooms of 81 Maurice St. reported Sunday evening that her pool liner and a vacuum hose were cut sometime overnight.

Donald Brooks of 22 Collins Ave. told city police Sunday night that his license plate bearing Pennsylvania registration EKL-6316 was stolen from his car.

Frank Bero of 187 N. Gallatin Ave. called city police Sunday morning and reported that a window on his car was broken overnight.

City police said Frank Rusnock of 119 Evans St. reported the theft of a green Craftsman hi-wheel lawn mower from his backyard Sunday morning.

City police said a stained-glass window on St. Mary’s Church on Gilmore Street was broken with a rock Saturday night or early Sunday morning.

Purse stolen

City police said Donnita Porter called at 2:30 a.m. Sunday from Johnny D’s bar and restaurant on North Gallatin Avenue and reported that her purse was stolen. The purse contained her driver’s license, credit cards, cell phone and keys.

Two people cited

City police cited Petey Clemmons, 41, of 31 Pittsburgh St. and Renee Kolosky, 27, of 96 S. Mount Vernon Ave., both of Uniontown, for disorderly conduct for allegedly fighting in an alley off Penn Street early Sunday.

City police cited Kenneth Baker, 38, of 35 Lemon Wood Acres was cited for public drunkenness Saturday morning following a disturbance at a Lincoln Street residence.

Bikes stolen

Robert Thorpe of 58 Winona St. told city police Friday afternoon that a blue 27-inch Schwinn 10-speed bicycle and rust-colored 27-inch Fugi 10-speed bike were stolen from his backyard.

Shots fired

State police in Uniontown said a man fired shots at Charles F. Hixon’s car Saturday at 12:15 a.m. at 909 Third St., Buffington. Nobody was injured and Hixon of Smithfield did not want to press charges, police said.

Theft reported

State police in Uniontown said Danny B. Valentine of Youngstown Road reported the theft of an air conditioner and a sweeper from his home Saturday at 2:30 a.m.

South Union Twp.

Man cited

State police in Uniontown said Joshua Scott Palmer of Fairchance was cited for disorderly conduct following an incident in which approximately 15 people surrounded a state trooper in the Eat-N-Park parking lot at 3:45 a.m. Saturday.

About 15 people surrounded the trooper until back-up police arrived. A number of others were also cited for disorderly conduct, police said. They were not identified.

Car damaged

State police said someone scratched a car owned by Russell Henry Johnston Jr. of Connellsville Street, causing extensive damage to its finish. The incident occurred while the car was parked at his residence on July 14.

East Bethlehem Twp.

Cash stolen

State police in Washington said $70 was reportedly taken from a car driven by Aaron Tyler Beck, 17, of Fredericktown along Route 88 at Ferry Road Friday at 10:30 p.m. when he was delivering pizzas.

Centerville

One-vehicle accident

State police in Washington said the brakes failed in a pickup truck driven by Clayton Morton, 25, of Coal Center at 8:20 p.m. Sunday on Route 88 at Gillis Road and the vehicle struck a tree and a guide rail.

Neither Morton nor his passenger, Edward Lacotta, 27, of Brownsville, was injured. Both were wearing seatbelts.

Burglary reported

State police in Washington said somebody entered a home at 106 Morton St. through an unlocked front door and stole a cream-colored purse containing $500 owned by Terry Wescott, 45, of Clearwater, Fla., on July 9 or 10.

Fayette City

Road rage investigated

State police in Washington said Joseph Sidary, 76, of Belle Vernon allegedly cut off a 28-year-old woman several times when she tried to pass him on Route 201.

Police said when the woman entered the one-way Main Street, Sidary allegedly drove the parking lane and the two vehicles collided. Siday fled, but returned to the scene. Nobody was injured.

Siday was charged with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and several summary violations. Charges were filed at District Justice Jesse Cramer’s office.

California

Report issued

The California Borough Police released the following report for June. Police patrolled 6,348 miles and answered 339 calls for service, including three escorts; 13 motorist assists; five domestic reports and 16 alarm activation.

Sixty-three incidents or 18.5 percent of police activity was university (Cal U) related, according to police.

Police handled the following criminal arrests, one each simple assault, theft, hit-and-run, trespassing, receiving stolen property, false ID and terroristic threats; two each of criminal mischief and DUI and three each of simple assault and criminal conspiracy.

Police issued eight summary citations, including one each harassment and scattering rubbish, two grass and weeds and four disorderly conduct.

Police stopped 107 vehicles and filed 99 violations. They issued 55 parking tickets and 342 meter tickets.

Accident with injuries

Fayette County 911 officials said that a two-vehicle accident on County Line Road was called in at 4:35 p.m. Monday.

Injured in the accident, officials said were three adults and two children with one of the injured being taken by medical helicopter to an area hospital for treatment of severe injuries.

Redstone Twp.

Burglary

William Mitchell of Republic told state police that between July 10 and 11 his shed on Steel Street was entered and a 14-inch green Poulan chain saw and a yellow Homelite weed eater removed.

Nicholson Twp.

Windows broken

M&Y Services of Lemont Furnace told state police that between July 9 and 10 their 1997 Caterpillar bulldozer, parked on a lot off Route 166, had its windows broken by thrown rocks.
