Catherine Lacerenza Cerul, age 89, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Friday, July 26, 2002, in Bouras Personal Care Home Inc., Farmington, Pa. She was born in Uniontown Pa., August 8, 1912, daughter of Anthony and Carmella D’Andrea Lacerenza.

She retired from Berkowitz Sewing Factory.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Lacerenza, and three sisters, Marie Lacerenza, Nell Bongiorno and Julia Henry.

She is survived by three brothers: Peter Lacerenza of Uniontown, Frank Lacerenza of Vienna, Ohio, and Nick Lacerenza of Shallotte, North Carolina; three sisters: Margaret Lacerenza of Uniontown, Louise Myers of Washington, Pa., and Theresa Carnes of Uniontown; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends will be receive in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, July 29, until 10 a.m. at which time a Blessing Service will be held by Rev. Fr. Kenneth Zaccagnini, V.F.

Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Uniontown.

Visitation was also held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
