School accepting enrollments Mount Moriah Christian School (MMCS) in Smithfield is currently accepting enrollments for preschool through 4th grade for the 2002-2003 school year.
The School offers certified elementary grade teachers; small class sizes; and tuition with discounts for families with more than one student attending MMCS. The goal is to train future leaders who will positively impact their homes, communities and world.

Preschool registration under way
The Asbury Preschool for 4’s is accepting registration for the 2002-2003 school year.
It is designed to provide structured pre-kindergarten instruction for all students. Morning sessions are 9-11:30 a.m. and afternoon sessions are 12:30-3 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Great Bethel seeks students
Registration is now being accepted for 2002-2003 at Great Bethel Baptist Preschool, 47 W. Fayette St., Uniontown.
The school’s goal is to assist each child in the learning of the alphabet, numbers, shapes and colors along with the development of social skills through sharing and teamwork. Creativity is nurtured through music and crafts and the love of God is presented through Bible stories.

Fort Burd Preschool has openings
The Fort Burd Preschool, located at the Fort Burd United Presbyterian Church near the Brownsville General Hospital, has limited openings for the 2002-2003 school session in the Monday-Wednesday-Friday afternoon class.
This class is for children who will be four years old by Aug. 31. The class is held 12:15-2:45 p.m.
Openings are also still available in the Tuesday-Thursday 9-11:30 a.m. class for students three years old by Aug. 31.
On Monday, Aug. 19, there will be a meeting of parents with children attending the Monday-Wednesday-Friday class at 7:15 p.m. A parent representative will be elected from each class.

Summer camp participants named
Penn State Fayette has announced the participants in its annual space shuttle simulator and Mission to Mars summer camps, held the weeks of July 22 and July 29.
These programs are designed to attract and motivate young females in fourth through sixth grades to make long range career choices in the fields of mathematics, science, engineering or technology. Penn State Fayette professor of engineering technology David Meredith is the instructor and organizer for the two camps.
