Rev. William “Bill” Moser
Rev. William “Bill” Moser, 64, of Fort Pierre, South Dakota, died Saturday, July 27, 2002 at his home after an eight and a half year journey with cancer. William Moser was born May 11, 1938, in Uniontown, Pa. to Wallace and Violet (Tate) Moser.
Bill grew up and attended school in Uniontown, Pa. Bill graduated from Lycoming College in Williamsport, Pa. and Cozer Theological Seminary in Chester, Pa. He was united in marriage with Lola May Thompson on July 20, 1958 in Uniontown. Bill was ordained to the ministry on June 6, 1963. Bill served churches in Colorado, Wisconsin, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Dakota and South Dakota.
Bill is survived by his wife Lola May Moser of Fort Pierre, South Dakota; three children Laurie Ann of Crystal, MN, Eric John of Brookings, Craig William of Sioux Falls and their spouses Bruce Lehrer, Shelly Moser and Mary Eck; four grandchildren Molly Elizabeth and Samuel Glenn Moser and Camden James and Thompson Patrick Moser; one brother Glen Wallace Moser of Uniontown and one sister Alice Ann Carson of Rochester, MN.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Feigum Funeral Home, Pierre, South Dakota.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2002 at 2 p.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Pierre with Rev. Roger Easland and Rev. Dr. Marc Stewart officiating.
A private Committal Service will be held at Scotty Philip Cemetery, Fort Pierre, South Dakota.
