Freddie Lee Dues, 45, of Uniontown was cited for harassment for allegedly slapping Jodi Lynn Smith, 29, of Uniontown in the face at a Main Street residence Wednesday at 6 p.m., state police said.

A 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix owned by David Williams, 60, was stolen from Indian Creek Valley Road on Thursday morning, state police said.

Three cars collide
Cars driven by Jerry Malinsky of Merrittstown, Rebecca Thomas of Republic and Deborah Madison of Cardale collided at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday on New Salem Road at Newboro, said state police. Thomas and Madison suffered minor injuries. A passenger in Malinsky’s car, Wanda Malinsky, and one in Thomas’ car, Helen Cherbon, suffered moderate injuries, police said.

Two-car collision
Cars driven by Jenny Digon, 53, of Morgantown, W.Va., and Frank Novotny, 80, of Lake Lynn collided on Route 119 at Water Street at 10:33 a.m. Saturday, state police said.

Escape charged
State police said Gerald Eugene Powell, 36, of 310 Texas Ave., Connellsville, was arrested and charged with escape May 20 after he allegedly cut off an electronic monitoring device for his court-ordered house arrest and fled. He was caught May 21 after a brief foot chase outside a residence at 476 Flatwoods Road in Vanderbilt.
District Justice Ronald J. Haggerty Sr. set bail at $5,000 cash. Powell is being held in the Westmoreland County Prison for a probation violation.

Somebody broke the flagpole in Yvonne Bricker’s front yard Wednesday at 10 p.m., state police said.

Stoots of Dickerson Run, and took a High Standard Sentinel .22-caliber revolver, a .22-caliber Remington rifle, a Skil circular saw, 9.6-volt Craftsman cordless drill, DeWault dry wall screw gun, Workmate 500-watt floodlight and a Milwaukee power drill, state police said.

City police responded to a call at St. George’s Church, Lebanon Terrace, and found a group of kids throwing shingles in the parking lot at midnight Friday. Police said they gave the kids garbage bags and had them pick up the mess.

Alessia Romeo of Cleveland Avenue told city police that someone climbed her fence and put a hole in her air conditioner at 8:20 a.m. Friday.

Man jailed
Terrance Lewis, 59, was placed in the Fayette County Prison after he allegedly punched Dale Hair, a nurse at Uniontown Hospital, while he was being treated there at 4:45 p.m. Friday for injuries sustained when he fell on Gallatin Avenue, according to city police.
Lewis was charged with simple assault, aggravated assault and harassment and was arraigned before District Justice Randy Abraham, who set bond at $20,000 straight cash.

City police charged James Frank Thomas, 33, and Kent Wilson, 22, both of Uniontown, with public drunkenness after they allegedly found them intoxicated and fighting in a parking lot on Gallatin Avenue.
