Frank A. Sterner, 88, of Acme, Pa., and formerly of West Newton, Pa., who was born in Sutersville, Pa., a lifelong Coal Miner who retired from Consolidation Coal Company’s Montour No. 4 Mine, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002. He is survived by two children: Janice Sterner of West Newton, Pa., and Wayne Sterner of Colorado Springs, Colorado; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and sisters: Twila Sterner Smith of Michigan and Yvonne “Tootie” Sterner Highberger of Baggaley, Pa.

Friends will be received at the H. William McCauley Jr. Funeral Home Inc., West Newton, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, June 4, until 11 a.m.
