In brief…
Nominations accepted Nominations are being accepted for the Pennsylvania Nursing Association’s Courage, Commitment, Compassion Award.
According to state Rep. Tim Solobay (D-Washington), the award was created to draw attention to the extraordinary work done every day by Pennsylvania’s nurses.
“With the current nursing shortage, all we hear about is the negative aspects of the nursing profession,” Solobay said.
“It’s time we highlight the courageous work Pennsylvania’s nurses do every day.”
Solobay said nominations should include a 500-word essay describing how the nurse has used courage, compassion or commitment in caring for a patient.
