William P. Bandzuch
William P. Bandzuch, 72, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Friday, May 31, 2002, in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born November 15, 1929, in Oliphant Furnace, Pa., a son of the late Andrew Bandzuch and Elizabeth Hosa Bandzuch.
Mr. Bandzuch retired in 1987 after 36 years of service from O. C. Cluss Lumber.
He was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church and a Veteran of the Korean Conflict who served with the United States Army.
He was also a member of the Teamsters Local 491, V. F. W. Post 47, American Legion Post 51, Hutchinson Sportsmen’s Club, and Hopwood AMVETS Post 103.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Frances Delligatti Bandzuch; a son, William Bandzuch and his wife, Marlene, of Uniontown; a daughter, Paula Delligatti of New York; three grandchildren: Bill, Amy, and Tina; his mother-in-law, Florence Delligatti; three brothers: John Fedor, Andrew Bandzuch and Thomas Bandzuch all of Uniontown.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph Fedor, Albert Fedor, and John Banjo, and two sisters, Ann Ferlin and Helen Shanaberger.
Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, June 3, until 9 a.m. at which time a Blessing Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows at 9:30 a.m. in St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, Mill Street, Uniontown, with Rev. Fr. Kenneth G. Zaccagnini, V. F., as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery where Military Rites will be accorded by V.F.W. Post 47 and American Legion Post 51.
St. Therese Altar Society Rosary this evening at 7:30 p.m.
Visitation was also held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
