OHIOPYLE STATE PARK is offering a summer environmental program for youth ages 6-13. Children will meet at 9:30 a.m. on June 13 at the Ohiopyle State Park Train Station. Classes will continue through July. Topics will be on biodiversity. Classes are hands-on mostly outdoor activities. Students must pre-register. Space is limited. To register, call Barbara Wallace or Clyde Trout at 724-329-0986. Registration ends June 12. MARIANNA COMMUNITY LIBRARY will hold a free blood pressure screening from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday. No appointment is needed.

AL-ANON meets in the basement of Trinity Presbyterian Church, corner of Morgantown and Fayette streets, Uniontown, at 8 p.m. Wednesdays. It is open to anyone effected by someone’s drinking. Those attending are to use the Fayette Street entrance.

BROWNSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL REUNION for classes from 1954 to 1962 will be held Aug. 1-4. Other classmates are also invited. Reservations must be made with Pat Purcell, 401 Church St., Brownsville, Pa. 15417-1715 or by calling 724-785-7638. Aug. 1 will be a casual evening at Pat Purcell’s house from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m.; Aug. 2, outing at the West Brownsville American Legion, 2 p.m., DJ playing oldies but goodies; Aug. 3, American Legion, West Brownsville, 4:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.; happy hour, 5 p.m.; class pictures, 6 p.m.; dinner, 7; and live band, 9 p.m.; Aug. 4, breakfast, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the legion home.

MARIANNA COMMUNITY LIBRARY will hold a summer reading program starting June 14. Call the library for more information. Parent/child participation is encouraged.

ST. ANTHONY FREATERNITY OF SECULAR FRANCISCANS WILL MEET AT 6:30 P.M. Wednesday at St. Anthony Friary, Uniontown. Envelopes are available for the intentions for the solemn novena to St. Anthony June 5-13 t the 8:45 a.m. Mass.

PRECEPTOR BETA PHI will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the home of Mary Lu Harvey for the birthday celebration 2002. Sisters are to bring rose buddy gifts.

FRANKLIN GRANGE 1169 will hold a covered-dish dinner at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Meeting will follow at 7.

SMITHFIELD PUBLIC LIBRARY, 14 Water St., will hold story time program for children, ages 4 to 9, and a reading contest for children ages 4 to teens, beginning June 6. Registration must be made immediately at the library.
