John Edward Behary

John Edward Behary, 72, of 2271 Celestial Drive NE, Howland, Ohio, died Sunday, June 2, 2002 at 12:09 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Boardman, Ohio, following a several month illness. He was born December 31, 1929 in Brownsville, Pa., the son of John V. and Ann Megles Speshock Behary.

An Army Korean War Veteran, he was a member of the Korean War Veterans Assoc., VFW Warren Post 1090, American Legion Warren Post 278 and was a 2002 Honorary Citizen of the Girls and Boys Town. He retired in 1980 as a tube mill operator at VanHuffle Tube Company. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church.

He is survived by his wife Norma Jean (Adams) Behary whom he married on September 11, 1953; a sister Theresa Ann Polewski of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a brother Michael Francis Behary of Bloomington, IL. and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be today from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the STATON-GILLEN-LARKINS FUNERAL HOME.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 a.m. preceded by a 9:30 a.m. service at the funeral home.

Entombment will be in Mt. St. Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
