City police discovered a white Dodge Ram Coca-Cola van with a broken side window and damaged windshield parked on East Street at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday.

Dumpster fire
A trash container was discovered on fire at the D&J store on Easy Street at 1:44 a.m. Wednesday, city police said.
The fire melted siding at a home at 102 Easy St.

Theft from vehicle
A 1996 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck parked in front of a Morgantown Street business was broken into sometime Monday night, city police said.
The passenger door window was broken and a compact disc player was taken from inside, police said.

James Gaddis of East Main Street reported to city police that juveniles threw rocks at his house Monday night.

City police were called to the Devan Avenue home of Margaret Marghella at 8:20 p.m. Tuesday to investigate a criminal mischief complaint.

Bike found
A red 20-inch mountain bike was found beside an apartment building on Collins Avenue at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, city police said.
The owner can claim the bike by contacting police.

Agnes Ventura of Jacob Street reported to city police at 9:49 a.m. Tuesday that within the previous 24 hours, vandals threw rocks at her rear screen door, back door and rear window.
Damage is $300, police said.

State police in Uniontown said Michael Kirchner, 25, of German Township allegedly threatened to punch Paul Farrier, 54, of Masontown at 11:18 p.m. Tuesday at 321 Menonite Church Road.

Larry Allen Koontz, 38, of Greenfield Street, Vanderbilt, was last seen at his residence 9 p.m. Monday, state police in Uniontown said. Koontz is white, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 160 pounds, with short brown hair and he was wearing a white tank top and baggy blue jeans when last seen.

State police in Uniontown said assorted computer equipment was taken from the residence of Amy Lynn Rigger, 21, of 123 Lower Oliver Road between 12:05 and 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

An electric fuel pump was removed and construction materials were damaged between May 31 and Wednesday at the township water authority property, state police in Belle Vernon said. The items were owned by Merit Contracting of Monongahela.

Two people tried to enter the Penncraft Store on Penncraft Road at 1:58 a.m. Wednesday by breaking a door window, state police in Belle Vernon said.

Man charged
State police in Belle Vernon said William Snyder Jr., 33, of Dawson was charged with simple assault and harassment for allegedly punching Dana Snyder, 24, of Dawson several times and injuring her at a residence at 8 Country Road, Dawson, at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement district office in Pittsburgh submitted its activity report for May. The report includes: 212 complaints received, 1,059 complaints investigated, 655 licensed establishments checked, 26 licensed establishments cited, 24 minors arrested for underage drinking, five arrests for sales without a license, 20 personal warnings issued and 36 other criminal arrests.

State police in Waynesburg cited Frank Lantz of Waynesburg for harassment for allegedly threatening Donna Rey of Waynesburg at noon Wednesday in a parking lot along Route 21.

Police investigate
State police cited an unidentified juvenile for underage drinking after the vehicle in which he was a passenger was stopped along Tollgate Road at 1:45 a.m. May 30.
In another report regarding the vehicle stop along Tollgate Road, state police said a juvenile petition would be filed against a 17-year-old boy who is accused of attempting to flee police by speeding. Police alleged the teen-ager stopped the vehicle in the roadway and fled on foot into a wooded area but was caught after a foot chase. Police alleged the suspect had drug paraphernalia and was under the influence of alcohol.

A large rock was thrown through the window of The Grocery Bag, 306 Stoney Hill Road, at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, according to state police in Waynesburg.

Scooter stolen
State police in Waynesburg said a silver-colored electric scooter was taken from outside G&H Discount Store, 999 Route 88, Rices Landing, between 4:30 and 8 p.m. Monday. The battery-powered scooter has a chrome luggage rack.

State police in Waynesburg charged Janeen Rebecca Harbarger, 27, and William Gene Harbarger, 39, both of Rices Landing, with simple assault following a dispute at the Harbarger residence at 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The driver’s door window on a vehicle owned by Kathleen Harmon of Purseglove, W.Va., was smashed at the Mount Morris Truck Stop early Sunday, according to state police in Waynesburg.

State police in Waynesburg charged Shawn Bernard Black, 26, and Tina Marie Stonesifer, 24, both of Mather, with simple assault, harassment, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct following a fight on Eighth Street at 2:35 a.m. Saturday.

Motorcycle crash
Daniel Burkholder, 25, of Belle Vernon was injured Sunday afternoon when he hit a dog while he was riding his motorcycle on Steele Hill Road, state police in Waynesburg said. He was treated at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

State police in Waynesburg said prescription medication was taken from the home of Terry Lee Lash, 60, of Dilliner between 1 and 5 p.m. May 31.

Accident
Three people were taken to Brownsville General Hospital with minor injuries and complaints of pain following an accident Wednesday morning on National Pike East.
The accident occurred near Brownsville Bus Lines as a van driven by Twila Ricco, 43, of Brownsville pulled from the bus company property onto the road. The van collided with a truck driven by Raymond Adamson, 40, of Millsboro.
Adamson’s passenger, Rhonda Stohan, 42, of Clarksville, was coming from a medical appointment for previous back injuries.
All three people involved in the accident had complaints of pain and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Brownsville School Police Chief John Carney is investigating a theft at the Redstone Middle School.
Sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, someone removed a red Ace Hardware lawn tractor valued at $1,000 and a blue string trimmer worth $250.

Criminal mischief
Brownsville police called to 505 Baltimore St. regarding fencing that had been damaged found two men in the basement of the old Brownsville Hospital.
Dennis Ruffcorn, 28, of Brownsville and Steve Baker, 28, of Allison were charged with criminal trespassing, loitering and prowling, public drunkenness and criminal mischief.

Alisha Hill of 375 Pearl St., Brownsville, told police she was sitting in her car near St. Nicholas Cemetery early Wednesday when smoke began to come from the dashboard.
She jumped out of the car and called police. When the police arrived, the car was fully engulfed in flames. The incident occurred around 2 a.m.

David Harris of Clarksville told state police someone loosened the lug nuts on his vehicle’s wheels outside his residence between 11:30 p.m. May 30 and 7 a.m. May 31.

State police said Melissa J. Coffman, 38, and Michele W. Mandella, 26, both of Uniontown, were treated at Uniontown Hospital after a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Braddock and Lay avenues at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday.

State police filed charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle against Betty Burnsworth, 53, of Rockwood after she allegedly left a Popular Run Road residence May 20 at 8:30 a.m. with a 1978 Plymouth sedan and did not return the car.
Police listed the victim as Sherman Burnsworth, 51, of White.

Chris Fullaro, 17, of South Park told state police someone broke the driver’s side door of his car and took a pair of blue, size 11 Nike-brand shoes sometime 6:35 to 6:45 p.m. Monday from a location at Mount Tabor and Indian Creek roads.

State police said someone took a check belonging to Marie Elizabeth Lewis, 33, of Uniontown from a Bierer Wood Acres residence and used the check in Uniontown. Police listed no time or date for the theft.

State police said someone threw eggs at and damaged the bottom latch of a window at the Tuskeegee Terrace residence of Frank Tunstell, 59, at 10 p.m. Tuesday.

Two cars collide
State police in Waynesburg said two people were injured in a May 31 accident involving Stephen Daniel, 37, of Dillner and Tonya Lea Williamson, 27, of Dillner on Route 2011 at Sit Still Road. Daniel was not wearing a seatbelt and was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital with injuries.
Williamson was wearing a seatbelt and taken by a private vehicle to Ruby with injuries.
Two children in Williamson’s car were not hurt.
