Lee A. Slabaugh
Lee A. Slabaugh, 95, of Chester, W.Va., formerly of Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, June 3, 2002. He was born Feb. 18, 1907, in Oakland, Md., a son of the late Noah and Phoebe Sanders Slabaugh.
Also preceding him in death were his wife, Juanita Finley Slabaugh; two sons, Robert L. Slabaugh and Lawrence C. Slabaugh; a brother, Webb Slabaugh; and a sister, Anna Virginia Beckman.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Gwendolyn) Sonoga of Westminster,, Md., Mrs. George (Kay) Allison of Chester, W.Va., and Mrs. Robert (Lois) Blair of Newell, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Slabaugh was a former salesman for the Ward Baking Company, a member of the Uniontown Christ United Methodist Church, where he had served on the Administrative Board, the Leland Bible Class, Teamsters Local No. 491, the United Commercial Travelers, and had recently attended the Chester United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 South Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and on Friday until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. Kenneth Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
