Report released
Borough Police Chief Richard A. Barron submitted his department’s activity report for May.
The report includes: 14 domestic disputes, with three arrests; 11 alarms activated; three property recoveries; 14 disturbances; 10 suspicious activity or people calls; 28 parking and traffic details, with one arrest; 16 theft reports; two drug law violations, with one arrest; seven juvenile complaints, with two arrests; 13 assists to other agencies; 55 escorts; one underage drinking incident, with four arrests; five harassment by communication reports; three burglaries, with two arrests; five accidents, with one arrest; four hang-up calls to 9-1-1; one public service detail; one harassment complaint; three warrants served, with one arrest; one disorderly conduct incident, with one person cited; three ordinance violations; six criminal mischief incidents, with one person cited; five public drunkenness incidents, with four people cited; one unauthorized use of a vehicle report; three ambulance assists; three animal complaints; two stolen vehicle reports; one fireworks complaint; one motorist assist; one neighbor dispute; and three trespassing complaints.
Barron said police received 258 requests for services, issued 20 traffic citations, recovered $23;100 worth of property and reported $26;750 worth of lost or stolen property.

Theft reported
State police said the passenger window on a car owned by Brandy Lyn Denny, 19, of Uniontown was broken and $50 was stolen from the console between 6 and 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Pizza Hut parking lot on Route 40.
Redstone Twp.
Man sought
A man spray-painted numerous construction machines at the Pechin Concrete Plant on Route 166 in Republic, entered a trailer and shoved a Uniontown woman before fleeing on foot at 6:50 a.m. Tuesday, according to state police. The suspect was a black man in his 30s, about 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 260 pounds.

Cars collide
State police said Minda D. Ramirez, 61, of Pittsburgh and Charles R. Pastor, 25, of Scottdale wrecked on southbound Route 119 at Bell Road at 2:06 p.m. Monday. Ramirez and Christina L. Conroy, 25, of Mount Pleasant, a passenger in Pastor’s car, were treated at Highlands Hospital for minor injuries. Three children, ages 3, 5 and 6, also were in Pastor’s car and were not injured.

Woman cited
State police said a harassment citation was filed against Cheryl Beatty of Lemont Furnace for allegedly slapping a West Leisenring woman at a residence off West Crawford Avenue at 11:20 a.m. Monday.

Man charged
State police in Waynesburg filed driving under the influence, fleeing police and drug charges against Michael Pete White of Dilliner after a May 31 incident in which he allegedly ran from his vehicle after he was pulled over on a state road at Moffit Road by a trooper.
Police said that after White was apprehended, they found a marijuana pipe in his possession and he refused a breath test. Police said the refusal will result in a one-year suspension of his driving privileges.
White was lodged in the Greene County Prison on a probation detainer.

Riding mower stolen
State police said a red 42-inch Troy Bilt riding mower, a Troy Bilt weed trimmer, blower and a bag of assorted tools were stolen from the Republic Auto parking lot between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 4:45 p.m. Wednesday. The suspect broke a window on a truck owned by Robert Brown to take the weed trimmer, blower and tools. Anybody with information about the incident should call Fayette County Crime Stoppers at 724-437-TIPS.

Police release report
State police in Waynesburg submitted their activity report for May. According to the report, 182 founded offenses were reported, 142 were cleared and 132 criminal arrests were made.
Police reported 48 traffic accidents, six hit-and-run accidents, 13 injuries, 349 citations issued, 291 warnings issued, 20 driving-under-the-influence arrests, five DUI accidents, 33 motorist assists, 296 other incidents and 559 total incidents. Police listed four reports of stolen property, including vehicles, with a total value of $23,260, and $11,540 in property, including two vehicles, was recovered. Underage drinking citations totaled 42.

Car wrecked
A 17-year-old boy from Pittsburgh with a 17-year-old male passenger from Jefferson Hills lost control of his vehicle along a township road and traveled over an embankment into a creek at 3 p.m. Sunday, state police in Belle Vernon said. Neither boy was injured.

Men cited
City police cited Alvin Spencer, 23, of Winslow, Ariz., with public drunkenness and harassment and Tyrrell Thomas, 23, of Indian Wells, Ariz., with public drunkenness for fighting with a man on West Main Street at the five corners intersection at 11:30 p.m. Monday.

City police said Ralph G, Herniman, 71, of Connellsville Street sideswiped Sequya L. Gaines’ car that was parked in front of a North Mount Vernon Avenue residence at 1:16 p.m. Monday.

Warrant served
City police said they assisted the Fayette County Drug Task Force Wednesday afternoon when they served a warrant on Donte R. Williams of 21 N. Beeson Ave.
Williams was arraigned by District Justice Mark Blair and committed to the Fayette County Prison in lieu of $50,000 cash bond.

Windows broken
City police said rocks were thrown through windows of houses at 45 Shady Lane and 49 Shady Lane overnight Tuesday.
Connellsville
Police file charges
Connellsville police filed charges against the following individuals in the following cases. All will face preliminary hearings before District Justice Ronald Haggerty.
– Billie Jo Wilson, 28, of 135 S. Meadow Lane was charged with criminal trespass after she allegedly was found at Gibson Terrace on May 26. Police said Wilson is restricted from being on the property.
– Justin Rahm, 20, of 216 Houston Ave. was charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct, and Frank Whipkey, 19, of 918 Aetna St. and two juveniles were charged with harassment and disorderly conduct after they allegedly caused a disturbance May 23.
– Ronald Ahlborn, 38, of 307 E. Francis Ave. was charged with public drunkenness after he allegedly was found intoxicated outside 1137 W. Crawford Ave.
In another incident, Ahlborn and Angeline M. Friguglietti, 34, of 1137 W. Crawford Ave. were charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct after they allegedly were found arguing and intoxicated in a West Peach Street parking lot.
– Kamakaokalani V. Prinkey, 47, of 79 Gibson Terrace was charged with public drunkenness after she allegedly was found lying intoxicated in the street near the intersection of South Carnegie Avenue and East South Street on June 2.
– Lonnie Greenawalt Jr., 22, of 1405 S. Arch St. was charged with theft by unlawful taking or disposition, receiving stolen property and unauthorized use of a vehicle after he allegedly took a vehicle that didn’t belong to him and without the permission of the owner from the 500 block of Edna Street on May 27.
Police said the vehicle was found undamaged May 28.

Harassment alleged
State police said Scott Allan Bergman, 27, of Scottdale was charged with harassment and stalking for allegedly following Tracy L. Camino, 34, of Scottdale while driving on Connellsville Street and Coolspring Street on Tuesday afternoon.
Bergman followed Camino to the state police station, where they argued. Several troopers intervened.
Bergman was arraigned before District Justice Deberah Kula and committed to the Fayette County Prison in lieu of a $5,000 percentage bond.

Man missing
State police said Larry Allen Koontz, 38, of Vanderbilt was reported missing from his Greenfield Street home since 9 p.m. Monday.
Koontz is a white man, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a sleeveless white tanktop and baggy blue jeans. Police noted that Koontz has a partial mental disability and may be unable to care for himself.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call trooper Krause at 724-439-7111.

Phone scam
State police said officers were alerted to a possible phone scam in which people are being told that they have won the Publisher’s Clearing House runner-up prizes. Police said that the winners are then asked to send cash via Western Union to Vancouver, British Columbia, to cover shipping and insurance costs.

VCR stolen
Jennifer C. Spedden, 26, of Uniontown told state police that two windows in her apartment in Bierer Wood Acres were damaged and an Orion videocassette recorder was removed between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 2 p.m. Thursday.

Stroller found
State police said a baby stroller was found along Route 119 near Bells Lane at 1:12 p.m. Thursday. The owner can identify and claim the stroller at the Uniontown barracks.
