Allison Christian Church installed the Rev. Michael D. Peton as pastor last Sunday. The Rev. Darwin Collins, regional minister of the Disciples of Christ, officiated at the service.

Rev. Peton is a lifetime resident of the Brownsville area. He and his wife, Nancy, have four children.

Pastor Peton has in the past been a guest speaker, taught Bible study programs and co-pastor at a revival service at the church while recently being an interim minister and accepted the call by the congregation to become their full-time pastor.

Church services are at 9 a.m. each Sunday with Sunday school to follow. On the first Sunday of every month, a contemporary service is held at 6:30 p.m. The church hosts a monthly Kids’ Night on the third Friday of each month. Youth group meets the first Friday night of each month at 6:30 p.m.
