Guthrie-Zewan
Kimberly Ann Zewan, daughter of Jack and Joyce Zewan of Rostraver Township, and Jason Eric Guthrie, son of Ron and Connie Guthrie of Uniontown, were united in marriage on July 21 at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa. Pastor John Custer officiated the outdoor ceremony on the waterfront deck at Mulligan’s, located at the Mystic Rock golf course.
The bride is the granddaughter of George E. Kasinec and the late Anne Kasinec of Donora, and Myron and Dorothy Zewan of Rostraver Township. The bridegroom is the grandson of Mabel Svec and the late John Svec of Uniontown, and the late Walter and Martha Guthrie of Farmington.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory two-piece Dulciana satin strapless gown, elaborately embroidered along the edges of the semi-cathedral length train and bodice. The headpiece consisted of a fingertip length ivory tulle veil accented with an elegant Swarovski crystal tiara.
Matron of honor was Amy Sadler of Belle Vernon, sister of the bride, and bridesmaid Erin Ritenour of Belle Vernon. The flower girl was Paige Svendsen, cousin of the groom.
The groomsmen included, best man, Sean Guthrie of Uniontown, brother of the groom; Ken Kozel of State College, and brother-in-law, Albert Sadler of Belle Vernon.
A cocktail and dinner reception immediately followed the nuptials.
The bride is a 1994 graduate of Belle Vernon Area High School, and a 1998 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where she received her bachelor of science degree in secondary education, majoring in English and communications. Kimberly is currently employed as an English and video teacher in the East Allegheny School District.
The groom is a 1994 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School, and a 1998 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where he received his bachelor of science degree in accounting. Jason is currently employed as a trust accountant at Mellon Financial Corporation in Pittsburgh.
They went on a honeymoon at the Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort in Nassau, Bahamas.
They currently reside in White Oak.
