BROWNSVILLE – More charges have been filed against three men in connection with burglaries in the borough over the past several months. Harry King Sr., 57, of Brownsville, Kenny King, 30, of Denbo and Danny Neil, 21, of Brownsville were cited earlier this week in connection with break-ins at the B&R Shirt Shack in which several thousand dollars worth of cigarettes were stolen.

Additional charges were filed against all three men for break-ins at various locations in the community. Kenny King and Harry King Sr. were charged with breaking into the concession stand at the Fenwick Park ball field on Water Street. According to Brownsville police, the men pried open a garage door, causing about $300 in damage, on May 21 or 22 and stole frozen meat, soda and candy worth $410 and a George Foreman Grill valued at $137.

The two men are charged with theft, receiving stolen property, burglary, criminal trespassing and conspiracy to commit each of those acts.

Kenny King also is charged with burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief and criminal trespassing for allegedly breaking into Kenzie’s Market at 6 Charles St., Brownsville, between April 19 and 20. About $300 in food and cigarettes was stolen, and $300 in damage was done to the door.

Neil and Harry King Sr. were charged with theft, receiving stolen property, burglary and conspiracy to commit each of those acts for a break-in at the B&R Shirt Shack between April 15 and 16. According to the police, the board covering a window was kicked in and $953 in cigarettes were taken.

Neil King faces those same charges, plus criminal trespassing, for an incident at B&R Shirt Shack between April 17 and 18 in which cigarettes valued at $2,585.32 were taken from the store. Harry King Sr. was charged with the same offenses for an incident at B&R Shirt Shack on May 22 in which 54 cartons of cigarettes worth $2,048 were taken.

A fourth man, John King, 32, of 146 Main St., West Brownsville, was charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly taking stolen cigarettes from Harry King Sr. and delivering them to another person who would give him money for them. Harry King allegedly paid John King $50 to make each of two deliveries, police said.

Preliminary hearings in all of the cases have been scheduled for this week, but they are expected to be continued.
