Orlando James “Lundy” D’Amico, 69, of New Salem, Pa., passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 6, 2002, at his residence in New Salem. He was born October 22, 1932, in Republic, Pa., a son of John and Maria Rullo D’Amico.

A 1950 graduate of Redstone High School, and a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics and Science and a Masters Degree in Education, he retired from Brownsville Area School District after 35 years of teaching math and science.

He was a member of St. Procopius Roman Catholic Church in New Salem, Korean War Veteran, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus, and a most beloved husband and father.

Surviving are his loving wife of 40 years, Ann Croftcheck D’Amico; five beloved children: Jennifer Bereiter and her husband, Donald, of Smock, Pa., Marc of Baltimore, Md., James of Barnesville, Ohio, and twins, Dominic and Ginger both of Baltimore, Md.; two grandchildren whom he loved dearly: Jesse D’Amico and Haley Bereiter; brothers and sisters: Joseph “Bill” D’Amico and wife, Sil, of Garfield Heights, Ohio, John D’Amico and wife, June, of Naples, Fla., Rose Haines and her husband, Harold, of Mentor, Ohio, Betty Atkins and husband, Mitch, of West Virginia, and Patty Mangello and her husband, Joe, of Northfield Heights, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., Legion Street, Republic, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 10, at 10 a.m. in St. Procopius Roman Catholic Church, New Salem, with Rev. Fr. James L. Popochock as Celebrant.

Interment will be in LaFayette Memorial Park. Brier Hill.

A Wake Service will be held today at 7:30 p.m.

Visitation was also held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.
