Frances Palcko Nichols

Frances I. Palcko Nichols, 85, of Nemacolin, Pa., and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., died Saturday, June 8, 2002, in Mount Macrina Manor, Uniontown. She was born October 18, 1916, in Oliphant, Fayette County, Pa., daughter of Ralph Palcko Sr. and Lillian Bierbower Palcko.

She was the owner and operator of Frances Beauty Salon in Uniontown, Pa., for many years and was a member of Carmichaels Free Methodist Church.

On December 31, 1989, she married William J. Nichols, who survives.

Also surviving are stepchildren: William Nichols and wife Muriel, Charleston, South Carolina, Robert Nichols, McLean, Virginia, and Gloria Polander and husband Jimmy, Summerville, South Carolina; six step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; a brother, Ramon Palcko and wife Maxine, Tallmadge, Ohio; and sisters: Dolores DiAngelo and husband Patsy, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Janet Barbetta, Stowe, Ohio, and Betty Nicpon, Warren, Ohio.

Four brothers, Richard, Edward, Ralph Jr., and Wendall E. Palcko, a daughter, Bonnie Dugan, and parents preceded her in death.

Friends will be received in the PAUL MICHAEL LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., Paul Michael Lesako, Supervisor, Funeral Director, 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Pa., today from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, June 11, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

Services follow at 11 a.m. in Carmichaels Free Methodist Church with the Rev. Lloyd C. Sickles officiating.

Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg, Pa.
