Helen M. Nivert Drop, 89, of Richeyville, Pa., devoted Mother and Homemaker who was born in California, Pa., died at 7:45 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2002, in Humbert Lane Extended Care Facility, Washington, Pa. She is survived by two sons: Charles J. Drop and his wife, Yoshiko, of Moorpark, California, and Louis R. Drop and his wife, Jean, of Monessen, Pa.; a brother, Frank Nivert of Tampa, Florida; sisters: Dorothy Nivert Pavliga of Youngstown, Ohio, and Mildred Nivert Slagle of Richeyville; granddaughter, Deborah Drop; grandson, Ronald Drop; step-grandson, Charles McCarthy; and step-granddaughters: Kim Anderson, Anne McCarthy and Eileen McCarthy.

The Family will receive Friends in the Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main Street, Route 40, Beallsville, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, June 12, until 10 a.m.
