Margaret Ann Turner
Margaret Ann Turner, age 77, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Friday evening, June 7, 2002, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born April 16, 1925, in Bethelboro, Fayette County, Pa., daughter of the late John Q. and Violet Yeagley VanSwearingen.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by three brothers, Donald, Wendell and Ray VanSwearingen.
Surviving are her husband of 49 years, David G. Turner; and four children: Diann Scott and husband, Larry, of Lemont Furnace, Pa., Peggy Rosinski and husband, Mike, of Perryopolis, Pa., David L. Turner and fiancee, Regina Sperko, of Uniontown, James E. Turner and wife, Cheryl, of Fairchance, Pa.; seven grandchildren: Butch Scott and wife Natalie, Tammy Scott, Michele, Michael and Susan Rosinski, Shane and Alex Turner; three great grandchildren: two sisters and a brother, Thelma Vail of Uniontown, Emma Morris and husband, David, of Smithfield, Pa., Willard VanSwearingen and wife, Mary Ann, of Bethelboro.
Margaret was an active member of Community United Methodist Church of Evans Manor where she belonged to the Church Quilters.
She was a member of Ridgeview Grange No. 1948.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, June 11, until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with Rev. Roger Howard, her Pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
Ridgeview Grange will hold a Service today at 7 p.m.
Visitation was also held Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.
