BROWNFIELD COMMUNITY CENTER, Banning Road, Dawson, Lower Tyrone Township, will hold a father’s day roast beef dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday. WOMEN’S HOME AND FOREIGN MISSION will hold a fashion show and concert with luncheon on June 22 at the Youghiogheny Western Baptist Association, 624 Duck Hollow Road and Route 21, Uniontown. Theme is “Summer Breeze Passion for Fashion Show and Concert.’ Entertainment will be provided by a gospel group, All God’s Children. Sara Harper of Pittsburgh will present her collection of fashions for women of today, Collection of Treasured Memories. Fashion preview begins at 2 p.m. and the fashion show at 3. Donation is $10. VETERAN’s ADMINISTRATION, Pittsburgh Healthcare System, will be at the American Legion Post 51, North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, on Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for primary care exams offered by a VA physician extender. Appointments are required and made at 1-800-309-8398, extension 3772. There will be no walk-ins.
CURFEW RECREATION CENTER, Flatwoods, is now open. Pavilion rentals are available as well as pool membership. It is open daily from noon to 8 p.m.
fayette branch 8467 WIL MEET AT 9:30 A.M. Saturday for a litter pickup project along Connellsville Street’s off and on ramps, Route 199 North, Uniontown. Volunteers are welcome to attend.
ST. PETER’S CHURCH, Brownsville, will hold a spaghetti dinner on June 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sons of Italy, Race Street, Brownsville. The dinner will kick-off the parish festival which is slated for June 30. Meals are $5 for adults and $3 for children under age 12. Take-out orders will be available at 11 a.m.
MORRIS FAMILY will hold their third annual reunion Saturday at Cedar Creek Park pavilion 5. Two meals will be served at 1 and 5 p.m. Members are to bring a covered dish and canned food for the food basket. Games are planned.

MON-VALE HELATH RESOURCES INC. will hold its 18th annual strawberry festival on Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the outdoors Central Plaza at Monongahela Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Proceeds benefit Mon-Vale Health Resources. Inc. Tickets are $2 and include strawberry shortcake and iced tea or coffee. Other foods will be offered. Tickets may be purchased at the hospital’s Gift Shop and on the day of the festival.

AMERICAN LEGION LADIES AUXILIARY POST 295 will met at 8 p.m. Thursday. Convention for July will be discussed. There will be no meeting in July. New members are welcome to attend.
AMERICAN LEGION LAFAYETTE POST 51, Uniontown, will hold election of officers from noon to 7 p.m. today at the post hall. Meeting will open at 11 a.m. for regular members only. Must have current membership card to vote.
