June 11, 2002 Vehicles scratched
Four North Street residents told city police Saturday morning that their vehicles were scratched during previous night. Christopher Fisher of 9 North St., Jack P. Vojtash of 35 North St., Donald Scott Yowler of 38 North St. and Allan Bryan of 40 North St. reported scratches on their vehicles.

Man cited
City police said James Kuchinski, 22, of Apollo was cited for public drunkenness after he was seen staggering in a yard along Coolspring Street at 7 a.m. Saturday.

Bars cited
City police cited three minors Saturday night following identification checks that police conducted with State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement (LCE) officers. At the Rock Bottom on W. Peter Street, police cited Laura L. Speggen, 19, of N. Emerson Street for underage drinking and Melissa Downs, 20, of N. High Street for carrying false identification. At Johny D’s Bar on N. Gallatin Avenue, Amanda Isler, 20, of W. Berkley Street was cited for underage drinking. Police and the LCE could also cite the bar owners for the violations. The Mt. Vernon Inn was also checked, but no violations were found.

City police said a window of Jacqueline Hodge’s home at 78 Carlisle St. was broken at about midnight Saturday.

Tools stolen
State police in Uniontown said an air painting gun, two pneumatic air wrenches and an air cut off tool were taken from the home of Gerald L. Intorre on Wynn Road last week.

Utility pole hit
State police in Uniontown said Brian R. Cerullo of Adah drove off Walnut Hill Road on June 5 and hit a utility pole. No injuries were reported.

Man cited
A harassment citation was filed against Ben Randolph, 20, of Uniontown for allegedly punching Kristie Palmer, 24, of Uniontown in the face at 5 a.m. Sunday at Harris Garden Apartments, state police in Uniontown said.

Jet ski damaged
State police in Belle Vernon said a jet ski owned by Barry Niccolai of California was damaged at the California Boat Club on Water Street between June 2 and 8.

Fleeing police
State police said Thomas Eugene Billy, 43, of Hopwood was charged with fleeing and eluding and various traffic offenses after police attempted to pull him over Sunday at 4:10 p.m. along Hopwood-Coolspring Road for operating a motorbike without registration. As police attempted to stop Billy, he fled and crashed into a split rail fence on Pine Knob Road. Billy was arraigned before District Justice Herbert Mitchell and awaits a preliminary hearing on June 13 at the office of District Justice Rick Vernon, police said.

Theft
State police said someone stole a truck filled with folding chairs from Fayco Rentals Inc. at 495 Connellsville St. sometime between 5:45 p.m. Sunday and 6:45 a.m. Monday.

Warrant served
State police said Torrie Jamal Wilson, 26, of Uniontown was taken into custody Monday at 3:30 p.m. at the Perry-O Motel after bench warrants had been issued against him from Fayette County and the state police.

Theft
Earl J. Thomas of Normalville told state police someone took two items from his home along Quail Hill Road sometime between 2 p.m. Wednesday and 4 p.m. Saturday.
