John A. Humberston, age 77, of Markleysburg, Pa., passed away Monday, June 10, 2002, in the Uniontown Hospital. He was born August 17, 1924, in Markleysburg, Pa., son of the late John F. and Cora Mae Frazee Humberston.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Reiko in April of 2002 and several brothers and sisters.

Surviving are two brothers and two sisters: Elmer W. Humberston of Confluence, Pa., Edna Ruth Myers of Markleysburg, Ester J. Naranjo of Finleyville, Pa., Clyde E. Humberston of Markleysburg.

John was Protestant by faith and was retired from the United States Army where he was a Military Photographer.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME OF FARMINGTON, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday until 11 a.m., the hour of the service, with the Rev. Jerry Steele and the Rev. David Peters officiating.

Interment will follow in Thomas Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Markleysburg Union Church, New Covenant Church of God, or Sansom Chapel United Methodist Church. AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood will accord military services at the graveside.
